You can use 00 instead of + sign, IF not then press and hold the 0(zero) button will insert a + sign where wanted.

check the base unit is plugged into the line socket at the wall if it is a new set then follow the setting up instructions in the owners manual if it has been working the make sure that all the end call buttons have been pressed as if not you will have a line still in use and there will be no dial tone ( phone off the hook)

Find the model # make model of phone. Go to Google. Type phone info plus question like 'how to turn silent mode off' then enter. You may have to change the wording in your question. I sometimes find answers simply by reading the search results page! So google it!

Hi Bill, I don't know whether you can. However you should be able to extend the ring time though. Go to the setup/settings menu on your phone and work your way through it.

To turn the Silent Mode OFF for your handset to ring, press and hold the # key on your handset for about 10 seconds. Your handset will beep and this will indicate that the Silent Mode has been turned OFF.

Try checking the user manual. I couldn't do this with my phones and had to do it manually.

probably through the profiles menu. Check and if no good please add detail of make and model and resubmit query

For most Uniden phones with this feature, you can toggle silent mode off by pressing and holding the # key (below 9) on any handset. (Some Uniden phones have Do Not Disturb which is controlled by the DND button on the base.) I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

no -- hand sets show what number handset it is time and date check the battery for the second set if it is charging then there should be a red light on the set
