Static is usually the result of a bad connection. I suspect there is a bad solder joint. See if you can determine where and get to the actual sticky spot. Often I have found that things like this are easy to clean or lubricate as soon as you see the actual place that is rubbing... Looks like it may be tricky to see the lever, but a mirror may help. clean it (even with "goof-off" or something) Then a little wd-40 (on a q-tip if you don't want to make a mess) or mineral oil will probably help. Well first off put it back where it was originally. if that doesn't fix it you've probabple blown the transformer in the power supply and it will needt o be replaced.

I don't see that model, I see a 500 and there is a 2000 but no 5000. The 500 piano is about 400 dollars. Make sure it has no issues with dead keys. The 2000 model is about 1400 dollars.

If it has capacitors they are going bad...You have to buy the same kind and solder the old ones out and new ones in

seems to me this will need more than most people can do. tracking down the problem will require a lot of testing of transistors and such... but just maybe it's nothing more than a loose ground wire on the circuit that powers that side. Good luck.
