My Garmin does not know how to get home when I
Are you sure you have set the mark correctly. 30 ft would be acceptable due to regulations , but 2 miles is quit a lot of variance. Check to be sure your map is up to date as some maps were never updated with road changes if you are going off a pre-set map load
Garmin nuvi 255 shows wrong address
When you first tun them on it is supposed to tell you to touch all four corners in a row.....this calibrates it. Yours may be differenr but the most of them are this way.......
The unit will not back on after i started my car
If you are pressing the on switch and it is not switching on then try plugging this in someone else's care and see if it works. If it doesn't then there is an issue with the unit or the charging cord. Try a different cord and if that doesn't fix it then it is the unit. Good luck.

Frozen screen and it says loader loading
Press the reset button - you'll find it on the lower right of the Nüvi
255, but it doesn't look like a button. It's basically the sticker with
all the information on it. It's just enough to push the sticker
carefully with something small, not too sharp so it doesn' get
destroyed. The Nüvi reboots, the loader loads and proceeds with the
software load. Once this is over, shut down the Nüvi and reconnect to
the PC. Then, everything works fine (it did at least for me).
Says low battery how do I charge it?
You charge the unit via your cigarette lighter socket using the charge lead supplied. Generally you type a zip code if you know it and the satnav will calculate your route.\if you dont know the zip code type in an address but this gives several areas. Zip codes are preffered.It will talk once you start driving giving you forwarning of any turns you need to make in advance. Good Luck
How to prevent Drive52 continually resetting itself ?
By 'resetting' you mean it switches off, and because it is connected to power, it boots back up. Do you have a SD Card in it?
I had trouble with a Nuvi 1350 with SD Card that had the whole USA Map on it, mine came with the Canada Map only. It would randomly turn off, so I decided to buy a Factory Refurbished Drive 50. I removed the SD Card and Reset the Nuvi and it worked perfectly after that.
The Drive 50 was also a bit flaky, and resetting fixed that as well.
You can back up your Favourites beforehand.

Garmin nuvi 50LM cant access on mtp settings
To open the MTP settings on your Garmin Nuvi 50LM, you will need to access the device's menu. From the main menu, select the "Settings" option and then select the "System" option. From there, you should be able to access the MTP settings. If you are still unable to access the settings, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.

How do I install an SD memory card on my Gateway laptop-
Get a USB card reader with a microSD slot. There are a lot of choices.
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Portable-Reader-RS-MMC-Micro/dp/B006T9B6R2 is the simplest type. Others have a USB cable. More expensive models have a detachable (replaceable) USB cable. See
https://www.amazon.com/sd-card-reader/s?k=sd+card+reader for more models. Most of these do not need special drivers to work with most OS versions. (Note: I don't know about ChromeOS drivers. Most Unix versions will mount the reader easily.)
I've seen B&H Photo Video (bhphotovideo.com) sell various SD and microSD cards with the card reader included for free. There are also SD adapters for the microSD cards so you can get a reader without a microSD slot.

(my household has several USB card readers. Some are USB 3.0 and the others are older USB 2.0 models. You do need to be very careful handling the card and put it into the reader with the correct orientation. I've seen the microSD cards get damaged when someone moves them between slots.)

Why is my garmin gps stays on loading maps?
Disconnect it, power off and plug it into the computer again.
Or, if you aren't in the middle on an update, reset it. Some have a red button on the back.
