John Deere 790 stalling out
My problem with my John Deere 790 stalling was my safety seat switch. It's a quick fix! What I had to do to fix my 2006 John Deere 790, was:
1. Un-hook the switch wires under the seat that connect to the seat switch.
2. Then, connect all of them with little wire clamps (or you can use a raw wire and connect them all) inside the wire connector, with the 4 connectors in it, to bypass the seat switch. Hot wire all of them together. It somehow resets the switch.
3. Then, with my 790 Deere in neutral, I started it up and held the key in starter position for about 2 seconds. (Instead of letting go right when it fires up) Somehow, in doing this, the seat switch reset and I was able to reconnect the switch and the seat switch works as it should now. My Deere 790 front loader fires right up without stalling now, while in neutral, of course. So, try this first because it's a quick fix. I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Aaron
How to repair steel hydraulic lines
You should NOT weld. braze or otherwise join, or "fix" an hydraulic lines, they, ideally, must be run as a single length again, any Join will simply fracture... Also if they are developing "Pin Holes" this is probably due to the material breaking down, and like a "Cancer" it will simply spread, and fail at a probable inappropriate time, not as though there are any good times? As an aside there are "Joiner" kit available for hydraulic lines, perhaps, cutting and rejoining like this may be acceptable? but still i wouldn't risk it, run new ones.
Hello,
We have a John Deere
You should have a round knob on your dash or console you pull it up turn it to the left or turn it to the left and slowly pull it up.

John deere 2010 tractor. pto grinds and wont engage
The PTO usually has a clutch that has to be engaged so that you can select the PTO rotation setting. I had a problem like that on my tractor and all it needed was a little adjustment on the PTO clutch lever, so it could disengage the PTO gearbox properly.

John Deere Gator XUV 2008 oil in gas
I know exactly the problem. I work for a John Deere dealership and have seen this problem before. It is called short-tripping. When a machine is first started, gas does leak into the cylinder and crankcase past the rings--normal--simulates leaving the choke on too long with a carburetor engine.. As the engine temperature rises, the gas in the oil is burned off and there really isn't a problem. When you take short trips or do not let the engine run to get it up to temperature, the gas in the crankcase does not get burned off and will accumulate over time. Make sure the machine is getting up to operating temperature and this could take up to 20 minutes if the ambient air temp is low. Feel free to e-mail at

Bypass RIO/PTO on john deer 1025R jractor
RIO/ PTO switches can not be bypassed. These switches are part of the safety circuits. Trying to bypass switches might cause other electrical problems, which that is NOT what you want.

My John Deer L120 riding mower is shutting down
Two things to consider....fire and fuel. Lets start with the simplest....check and replace the fuel filter, drop bowl off the bottom of carb to make sure float is working properly. If this dosen't work...your looking at a new coil. Some coils will go quickly where others are gradual. As they heat up...they will stop working until allowed to cool down again. www.nnyparts.com
The hydraulic steel line on my 2010C bucket loader
Like other hydraulic systems, there is probably a procedure for bleeding the lines after loss of most of the fluid.
You may still have air trapped in the system and once it works its way to the cylinder, the cylinder is working with air instead of fluid and the air compresses instead of doing work.
