Changing colored lens on glow buoy

The way I change the colored lens to the glow buoy is with three standard screw driver, about a 3/16" head good 4" shank or longer. If you look close you can see four grab tabs in the middle of the lens, these hold on to a lip on the clear lens. Twist the colored lens till you can get to three of the tabs. I couldn't get to all four do to the triangular shape of the top. Slowly wedge the driversunder the lip of the colored lens center to the tabs one by one, alternately pressing the screw drivers deeper once you get the to where they wil continue no futher, due to the bevel in the lens, take the two drivers opposite each other and push them in forcing the edge outward. The lens will pop off violently, and most likely shoot the third screwdriver across the room, but after changing them a few times the lips wear down soon you will be able to pull them off with a good pair of fingenails. Hope this helps, you may scratch the lens a little, also the covers have a bit more flexibility then I thought I was afraid to break them but now I see the give.

Is there an on/off button for the glowbouy?

Top center I think. Doesn't go on and off, it runs through three or four settings first then goes off.

According to the owner's manual for this pool light, a blinking red light indicates that an error has occured during charging. It says that if you have unplugged and tried again and still have a blinking red light, the condition of the battery is questionable and it might need to be replaced. LIGHT WILL NOT STAY ON BLINKS ON AND OFF

It sounds like your pool light has a faulty bulb. If you are sure that it is charged and there is no water in the housing unit, you will probably just need to get the bulb replaced. You will have to take it to the pool store that you got it from (or another pool store). You can't open the housing or you will void your warranty and risk shock.

Does not turn on

If you are sure that the swimming pool light is getting a good charge when you connect it to the power source, the problem is probably that you batteries are no longer active. If you have had the light for several years, they might have reached the end of their useful life. The batteries usually last about 10,000 hours. If they are worn out, you will need to replace the entire light.

How do i change the lamp in my glowbouy

You cannot change the light yourself. These particular swimming pool lights are designed so that they are not able to be opened by the consumer. To have the bulb replace, you will have to take it to an pool store/repair place. They can only be opened by a professional. If you did open it, it would void your warranty. You will either have to take it in for servicing or buy a whole new light.

My glowbouy flashes green and red...what does this

According to the owners manual for these swimming pool lights, this is what each colored indicator means. Hope this helps.

Solid green
The battery pack is fully charged.
Slow flashing green
The battery pack is almost fully charged.
Slow flashing yellow
The battery pack is half charged.
Medium flashing yellow
The battery pack is less than half charged.
Fast flashing yellow
The battery pack has almost no charge.
Fast flashing red
A charging error has occurred and the light should be unplugged and then plugged back in. If the Fast Flashing Red persists after several attempts, the battery condition is questionable.

Also in the trouble shooting guide, it mentions this:

Problem: Red Indicator Light Is Flashing While Charging

Solution:
A red flashing indicator light when charging indicates a selftest
error condition. Unplug the product and plug it in again.
Try this several times; if the indicator light continues to flash
red, unplug the GlowBuoy and take it to an authorized service
depot.

Can I change the light bulb in the Glowbuoy?

The users manual strictly forbids users of these swimming pool lights from changing any bulbs/batteries/etc. This light is specifically designed so that it cannot be opened by anyone other than an autorized repair person. If you were to open it yourself you would not only risk electrocuting yourself, but also void your warranty. You will have to have it serviced or replace the whole light. Sorry! Hope this helps you though.
