I have same issue, reading 103/104 but barely 80 degrees. Im guessing tstat went bad how can the gfi plug cause this? are you referring to the actual gfi plug for outlet?

You need to remove the impeller 1st.....there is usually(not familiar with your particular pump) 2 sets of exterior accessible bolts.
