You will need the model of your filter to identify the part from the manufacturer and then purchase it thru a pool store or online. It is not a 'cloth' you can buy from a retail outlet as a separate item.

You are fine with your 110VAC. Manufactures generally express the operating voltage of appliances with the median between what household voltages are usually expressed in I.E. 110/220 to 120/240

The only time this could be a problem is if you lived in another country that uses 50Hz Mains instead of 60Hz. I assume you live in the US so you will be fine.

There are a couple things that you will need to check when pool pumps start losing pressure. Air bubbles are definitely one step, but check these things as well. Check you impeller to see if there is a clog or obstruction. You pump strainer could also be clogged. It could be that your o-ring needs to be replaced also. Try these things, reprime the pump, and see if it maintains pressure.

Your pump has probably lost its prime. This is either because it got too much air or not enough water. Try priming. This should make your pump start working again. Any time pool pumps have to be services, they need to be re-primed. In case you are not sure how, remove the pot lid and fill the pot with water. Re-add and clamp the pot lid. Open the air release valve on the filter and stand clear. Turn on switch or time clock. When water comes out of the air release valve, close the valve. If it is a two speed pump, make sure it is on high speed.

Whisper flo pumps do not have a computer to program. If it is an INTELLIFLO you would need to program. The programming manual can be found at PENTAIRPOOL.com

It could be the pump is bound up but it is more likely the motor is failing. It may be a small part such as the capacitor or the starting switch, but could also be more severe such as the winding itself. You will also want to examine the shaft where it passes thru the pump and motor and look for signs of rust from a pump seal leak. If you are not familiar with testing these parts your best bet would be a local electric motor repair shop to see if the motor can be repaired or if it would need to be replaced. They should also be able to ensure there is no pump damage.

Unfortunately your motor has shorted out and needs to be replaced.

Their is a wear ring that goes on the front of the impeller. Be sure that is there and on right. Most people will put this on with the large side against the impeller but it goes on with the large side out. This is so when the pump starts it will slide forward and give you all the pressure you can get. Also make sure you have the "O" ring on the front of the diffuser. It will help to seal and divert the water in the direction it's suppose to go.
Without these on correct the water can go from the pressure side of the impeller around the diffuser and back to the front of the impeller again. Loosing up to 30% of your pressure.

you may have a problem with supply power causing the motor to overheat and trip it's internal high limit. You could also be developing a short in the motor winding, however, you would probably be blowing the start/run capacitors if you have winding problems. Make sure the supply power is adequate, three horses require some heavy amperage.

once you figure out why it's having trouble priming, you can reduce the discharge side with a valve to adjust the flow to what you need. You can always always reduce the discharge side but never the suction side.

There shopuld be a diagram on the nameplate of the motor, or on the cover for the wiring compartment, or there is some stamped indication at the wiring lugs that tell you where to put your feed and what position the internal wires are to be in or the jumper .. for 110 volts or 220 volts.

Loud operation is an indication that the bearings need replacing. A local small motor repair shop can probably get it done for $70 or less. Call around...

Your motor bearings are failing. It is most often caused by a leaking pump seal. It is a relatively inexpensive repair if it is caught early enough; before the shaft is damaged from the corrosive water eating into the steel. Take it to a local electric motor repair shop for inspection. It will likely need a set of 203 bearings for the motor and a mechanical seal for the pump. All told, depending on the labor rates, it should be less than $75. You could try to repair this yourself however if you are not familiar with the process it is money well spent having someone who is do the repair for you.
