You could have a seal leaking in your pump, the lid could be loose, or possibly a drain plug on your pump. You may need to put a check valve on the suction line

the trick is to start with the pump pulling from the main drain, you will see air pocket in the pumps basket (most cases) turn the valve back slowly towards the skimmer as soon as you see the air pocket disappear, You have the perfect blend between the two sources. and a happy pump. You will find a huge price difference between Amazon and a pool store. The valve is about $100 from Amazon, about $250 at my pool store.

Check the standpipe gasket. Its a small part, but could be the problem. Also, look very closely at your manifold for any small cracks. The smallest fissure in the manifold can produce big problems.

That sounds like the multiport. You need to make sure all the gaskets inside are in good shape and that all the screws holding the multiport together are tight. First start by taking the lid and handle off of the multiport, there is a lid gasket that may be in bad shape. If the gasket leaves black on your fingers, then that says the gasket is bad. Replace it and tighten the lid back down with the screws and bolts.

Any idea on how to install new one yet? I put 220lbs of my own pressure to set spring to get key back into handle with zero luck

Hello, i just had a 3/4 inch open area develop close to the bottom of my sand filter. Apparantly the base rubbed it raw and the water was leaking like crazy. We called the pool place and they said they have never been successful in repairing a seam. Well we looked it up on the internet and there did not seem to be any real good solutions. . Our friend Ryan came over and he is an auto body man. he brought a tube of plio grip by valvolene #3. he mixed the two sides together and then got a putty knife and placed it over the seam. This stuff is unreal. So far in 24 hrs no leak. I think it is going to work. Everyone pretty much said we were going to have to buy a new filter. I will let you know later in the month how it goes.
