Electric Mobility Shoprider Electric Power Wheelchairs Scooters Trooper - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Shop rider deluxe wont go forward or reverse
hi does the brake click at the rear when moving the wigwag lever ? .
Can you check the brushes in the motor ? resistance of the motor should appear as virtual short , the brake resistance should read from 25ohms upto 80ohms, the scooter won't drive if the resistances are wrong .. the controller could be faulty , and i offer a free testing service if you're UK based
here's a trouble shooting manual for shopriders ..

Instructions for dismantling for transportation
The Shoprider Soverign is not really meant to be dismantle for travel. The best you can do is to remove the seat and fold down the handlebars. Also depending on the year it was manufactured there is a pin towards the back of the scooter that connects the front chassis and rear chassis. You must first remove the batteries to gain access to the pin. If you are elderly you might need help. It is heavy.

Puncture in one of my front tyre how do l remove it
To remove wheel there is one center bolt in the middle of the wheel(13mm). The wheel is a split rim so on the inside of the wheel there is more 13mm nuts undo them and the wheel comes apart.(no need for tire levers)

R6 300 batteries charging negative
If you connected the voltmeter correctly and you get a negative reading then the batteries have flipped polarity.Get an automotive battery charger...preferably a NON automatic kind and charge each battery separately. Before you take them out of the chair...run both batteries completely down. Connect the charger correctly and charge normally. It will take a longer time to charge that way because the polarity has to change back. Test the batteries again using a correctly connected voltmeter . If the reading is back to positive then you're ok. If not then trash the batteries and get new ones. Radio Shack carries the correct batteries and are much cheaper than buying them from a chair service company
