My Scooter will not take a charge!I have put in new batteries.Any help woul
Make sure the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. There is a fuse in line on the 3 pin charge port on the scooter. You have to take all the screws out of the back of the tiller to get to the fuse. You can go on Golden's website and download the service manual. It is a wealth of information.

Tilt steering stuck in down position.wont tilt forward.
I am sure you have tried this but put it all the way down and let it lock. Then try and pull it back up. The problem will be if it stays stuck. I would wiggle the wheel at the same time. May need a third hand to help.

How do i fix a tiller that will not lock in places
That is the same problem I had on my Pride Legend Xl. I bought
used. Tiller mechanism switch and cable would not lock the mechanism down below. I tried a few things to just lock it in the upright position permanently, finally I discovered the only way to "lock" the tiller, was to use a huge automotive 3-6 inch diameter
hose clamp, and install it inside the rubber boot at the bottom of the tiller to tighten around the tiller tilt mechanism and prevent it from
tilting, and that has worked for me. The lock mechanisms seem to be prone to failure on some models and the cost of repairing them is very expensive.

Steering column falls forward . how to prevent.
There is a pivot knuckle located inside rubber boot. This knuckle connects the upper tiller to the steering assembly of the front wheel. There will be a bolt that connects the knuckle. You will need to ensure that is tight along with checking any quick release buttons or levers that allows the tiller to move into different positions.

It does not need to be re-threaded you simple need a washer and a nylon nut that fits. If you have damage on the shaft and thread will not accept a nut, then you should call a professional technician to look at it.

Axle makes a noises going forward only sounds like
there is no bushing on my rear wheels axle albeit an older scooter...wheel runs metal to metal on the axle and so...remove wheel and clean an grease the axle an replace the wheel.... probably wouldn't hurt to run a greasy rag back and forth through the wheel a time or two too...Sometime next week. The Maintenance Dude here @ Big Muddy River Apartments will be correcting a dry rear wheel on my old ole Golden Companion II. I had just acquired the thing and almost immediately after I sat on it to take it for a spin. The left rear wheel started acting up. Lucky my power chair guy does scooter repair too, and he told me no bearings in the back wheels. Its metal to metal and removing the wheel an greasing the axle should take care of it, and I havt'a say that was really admirable of him cause he could have clipped me for a service call and a grease job.....the end
