Invacare Supply Group Invacare Pronto M91 Electric Wheelchair Questions & Answers
Whre do I find the model no. n my jazzy selet
It is usually on the serial number sticker, which can be hard to find or have been removed/fallen off. If you can find the serial number, your vendor or the Invacare Co. can tell you the model, etc.
Pronto m91
You are getting a motor error code. Check motor wiring and connection to the main control box. Motor may have gotten unplugged when changing the batteries.
How do I get my pronto m91 out of charging mode?
The M91 has an onboard charger. When unplugging the charger power cord from the wall outlet does not stop the chair from being in the charge mode, The charger has to be unplugged from the wheelchair wiring harness or main control module under the plastic body parts. The on-board chargers fail like this sometimes.
How do i turn on chair
The ON button is at the top front of the joystick. If this button does not turn on the red, yellow and green lights there are many possibilities as to why it is not turning on. Batteries have to be checked first for proper voltage. Then wiring needs to be checked for proper connections and fuses checked.
I have the tdx sp and the wrench light is flashing
There is a problem with the remote joystick. Could be a bad connection or bad harness to the remote joystick. If harness is fine then the joystick has issues and needs to be replaced or rebuilt.Try the 4-wire harness first.
Put joystick into lock mode
press and hold on button til beep then push and hold joystick til beep then pull and hold joystick til beep turn off then on should be unlocked now
Is there fuses in the M91 Pronto Onboard charger
I had this exact same problem after having my M91 in the shop. The repair man said that the onboard charger was bad, so he sold me an offboard charger to charge through the arm. That didn't change anything. I finally took it apart myself and discovered that there was a cord leading from the onboard charger to the batteries that the repair person had left unplugged when he installed my new batteries. What I'd thought was "fast draining" of the batteries was actually the batteries self-charging overnight (which they will do a little bit if you let them sit). Of course, this might not be your problem, but I'd say at least look at it as a possibility.
What's your problem?lock or unlock
try holding the on off button till you hear a beep. then push the joystick forward and hold till beep then pull back till you hear a beep. you should be locked, then repeat to unlock.
Invacare Pronto Sure Step M91.
Good day!!!!
Please try to reconnect all connectors on the board...
after that try to test the machine...if persist, please check the voltage of your battery if it is 12vdc it should have at least 11vdc and if 24vdc it should have 23vdc...if the battery is lower try to replace it..
If the battery is good the problem is on the main control board..
if that so you need to replace it..please contact your manufacturer or dealer to buy the parts you needed..
Thanks for using fixya..
Have a nice day!!!
Battery indicator seems fine. Wrench symbol is
The wrench symbol being lit indicates a problem. Does the wrench symbol blink? when you try to engage the joystick the brakes should try to engage and you would hear them click and the symbol will flash. The number of flashes telling you what is wrong. If the symbol is not flashing and staying on then that also a probem but you can't tell what it is. Either way the chair will have to be checked by a tech that has a programmer to plug into the chair and read the error codes to determine the problem. Check with your provider that sold you the chair to see if they can troubleshoot the chair for you or contact Invacare Tech Support @ 1-800-333-6900 and explain your problem. Sorry I can't give you a definite answer Hope this helps
How do we lock out the fast speed on grandpa's
Ann You will have to contact the provider of Gramp's chair to ask if they have a programmer for Invacare chairs. Then they will have to program the chair for a lower speed. Of course you can turn the speed down on the joystick but Grandpa is probably the one that will put it back to fast cause its going too slow. try also contacting Roadrunner Mobility@ 1-800-467-2668 and ask if they have a tech in your area that has a progeammer to slow his chair down. Hope this helps
I have a Pronto M91.
You have low batteries and need charging if you been charging and still get the red lights then the batteries need to be replaced and have the charger checked for correct output. If you have a voltmeter you can check the charger by plugging the on-board charger into the wall set the voltmeter to 200 volts dc and plug the leads into the two outter holes of the charger port located under the front of the joystick. with the charger pugged in you should be reading 27+volts if you aren't getting any reading or the reading is lower than 25 volts then replace the charger or get an offboard charger and try charging the batteries via the joystick charger port Hope this helps
Had the Pronto M91 invacare wheelchair in the Push
You definitely need new batteries. After that amount of time the batteries go bad and the plates inside become sulfated. They are only good as boat anchors now.
It is a easy do it your self repair. There are 2, Group 22 batteries in this model. You want to get deep cycle sealed lead acid, preferably AGM (advanced glass matt) group 22 batteries.
Flip the seating system back by releasing the lever under the front of the seat.Make sure you do not pinch the joystick wiring at the back when you do this.
Remove the black plastic cover.
The batteries will be secured by a strap which you should unbuckle.
Disconnect the plugs to the batteries and note how they are run, oriented and connected.
Pull out the batteries, one at a time, from the base.
Make the wiring connections to the battery , put the batteries back in the chair, plug everything in and you are set to go. Hope this helps.
