HOW DO i RESET A BOSCH DISHWASHER MODEL SHE56T55VC/02 THAT IS STUCK ON AUTO 2:02

First, I'm not a BOSCH tech. I just installed an ELECTROLUX dishwasher last month and had a similar problem. We also have an older Kenmore dish washer in another part of the house. The Kenmore is at least 15 years old and the touch pads are very soft and easy to select. The new one did not select either. I have to firmly depress the pad (which seems to be a stiffer plastic) and make sure I'm pressing down on the right spot to get things to work. * I recently came across the same problem. Pressing buttons won't change the displayed setting and it seemed to be 'stuck' in one mode but I coudn't tell if it was in between a cycle or just stuck. I've found that holding the 'start' button down (firmly) for 10 seconds will cancel all functions and it went back to normal. Since then it gets stuck several times over the week. I don't know if one of the kids is opening it up as I only turn it on at night just before going to sleep. So, someone may be sneaking around for a mid nite kitchen raid. * If you still have problems then check your warranty as many of these machines have parts warranty for 3-5 years. The 'switch' section if bad must be completely replaced as it is all one piece. These membrane switches will get damaged from a sharp fingernail or using a knife or fork to force the button down. (happened with the Kenmore, Kids kept stabbing it to get it to turn on.) Aloha, ukeboy57

She55 Bosch water not draining Not getting water Stays on 1 at end of cycle Doesn't shut off

"water not draining" and "Not getting water" seem to be mutually exclusive. If it is not draining but the motor is running you need a pump replacement. If it isn't getting water you may need a water valve.

The container that has the dry dishwashing powder does not open during the washing cycle

John, you might have a problem with your dispenser mechanism. You can remove it from the door and inspect it to make sure the door spring and tripping mechanism are not damaged. If any of these items are damaged, you can buy them separately and save some money. If you can't trouble shoot these or the main unit mechanism is damaged, you just replace the complete unit. It is not difficult to replace the complete unit. This YouTube video can help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDideDjjuEU Good luck.

Bosch she56c05uc display doesn't light up and will not turn on.

If the display wont light up but the flood switch works (drain pump operates) then its most likey the Power module (right side rear) is faulty. You might want to try a reset - at the breaker disconnect for a few minutes then try again

GOOD AFTERNOON i HAVE A

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description
I'd say the issue actually is with the control...unfortunately. This is
likely within the electronic timer/control, specifically the heater relay solder joint. ( a faulty flow switch, ntc or heater can also cause this, but not very probable ).

If you feel capable of checking this on your own, there`s a way to visually inspect the control yourself...it really isn't very complicated.

It will require you to remove the control from the unit and then remove the control from it`s plastic housing and look for a burnt solder contact on the printed circuit board.

dabfa62.jpg

The culprit will 99% of the times be one of the pins from the heater relay, hence the unit sit`s and takes longer & longer to finish because it can`t heat to advance or unless the 2 buttons for "cancel" are pressed...this can also manifest as a long cycle time as I mentioned and eventually display's "1" on units with a display and usually very poor cleaning, no heating ( don't be fooled by the homes inlet hot water temperature ) as a result.

You can also run the unit through a regular or econo cycle ...any cycle with the exception of rinse & hold, and with the door panel removed place an ammeter on the gray/black wire it should draw 11 amps during the wash cycle...after it fills and the flow switch indicates it has adequate water to engage the heater.

i.e. ( this may differ from your specific model, but the same rules apply )

**My Opinion - if you or someone you know is proficient at soldering, a lot of times it can be remedied by simply repairing the solder...but it has to be done well...or it will not last.
Bosch recommend`s replacing the control and I don`t pretend to speak on their behalf nor do I profess to know better. This is just my experience (it work`s) and my opinion (why buy new if one can repair ?)

**Please disconnect the power or turn off the breaker before attempting any service to the dishwasher.**

Thank`s for visiting "FixYa" for your repair inquiries. Please take a moment and rate this solution to it's helpfulness. Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

I would like to know the dB level of my bosch shu43c05uc/17. I need to replace it and want something at least that quiet.

Most late dishwashers range between 40 and 50 dB. That is equivalent to the ambiant noise of a library room.
