Bosch dishwasher time delay problems
Bosch Dishwasher
Repair
When the display is stuck on 2H it often means the heater is
not working. If the water is not heated, the cycle will never complete. It is
possible the heating element is bad, but a more likely problem is with the
control module PC board. The solution requires some basic repair and soldering
skills plus the tools to do the job. Bosch recommends re-soldering the
connection to the heating element relay (see page 11 of "SHU/SHI/SHV Dishwasher
Troubleshooting Tips")

The problem is that the circuit board copper is not
heavy enough to handle the heating element current, causing the copper to heat
and melt the solder connection. A better solution is to solder a short length
of copper wire between the two pins to provide more copper and reduce the
chance of heating as shown in the attached photo.

How to run self test on bosche dishwasher
Here is an excerpt from "Bosch Dishwasher Troublesoooting".
Running a Test Cycle
Bosch dishwashers have a test cycle which can be run as a troubleshooting
measure. The method to run this test cycle is similar across the Bosch
dishwasher range so if your dishwasher features seems different from those
described below then try experimenting, as the process is fairly straight
forward and will be very similar. Bosch dishwasher model numbers are usually
found around the top or lip of the door. One of the most common differences
between dishwasher models is simply the names of the buttons. For example in
the first example below, POWER SCRUB PLUS and REGULAR WASH may be called WASH
and ECO depending on your dishwasher model and the country you are in. The
other key difference is whether your dishwasher has a display panel (which can
display error codes) or not (in which case a program light will illuminate to
tell you the fault.
To run the test cycle hold down the POWER SCRUB PLUS and REGULAR WASH
buttons. Whilst held down press the ON/OFF button. The lights above them should
flash. Now you can check the status of each dishwasher program by pressing its
button. Now you can run the full test cycle = Press the POWER SCRUB PLUS and
REGULAR WASH buttons again. The dishwasher will start up and when the cycle has
ended one, if you have no display panel on your dishwasher model the indicator
lights will illuminate if a malfunction was detected as follows -
CLEAN - A temperature sensor fault. If this is the case then the test cycle
will be very short as the dishwasher will terminate the test once it's been
detected.
RINSE/DRY - A water sensor/filling fault. If this is the problem then the
test cycle will not complete as the dishwasher cannot detect the right level of
water, the dishwasher will just keep filling and draining again.
WASH - A heating fault. Check your heating element.
If you do have a display panel on your Bosch dishwasher then after the cycle
is complete an error code will be shown if a fault has been detected. The error
codes are as follows -
0 - No errors have been detected.
1 - A water sensor/filling fault.
2 - A heating fault.
4 - A water filling fault. This can also appear as F on the display during a
normal cycle.
8 - A temperature sensor fault.
When troubleshooting your Bosch dishwasher, running
the above test cycle is a good start in diagnosing the problem and should give
you an idea of where the problem lies with your Bosch dishwasher and what fixes
and repair are in order. Our general troubleshooting page will give you some
ideas on other things to check on your dishwasher. Good luck!

What is error code 2H
My Bosch dishwasher did the same thing. When the wash cycle starts, the dishwasher fills with water and then the heater is supposed to turn on to heat the water. If the water does not heat, then it will display 2H continuously. The heating element may be bad, but a more likely cause is with the control module. Bosch has a problem with the control module printed circuit (pc) board that powers the heater on many models. The solution requires some technical expertise and soldering skills. The details are explained in the document "Bosch dishwasher troubleshooting tips" on page 11.
Download hereBosch recommends re-soldering the connection, which is a temporary fix. The problem is that the copper conductor (called a trace) on the circuit board is not wide enough to handle the current required for the heating element, and as a result the copper trace overheats, causing the solder to melt on the relay connection. The best solution is to remove the control module PC board and solder a short length of copper wire between the pins to prevent the overheating problem, as shown in the attached photo (magnified portion of PC board). I did this on my dishwasher and it has been trouble-free for over 3 years.

No power to bosch dishwasher
So the wall plug is good and has power. But the dishwasher has no power. Sounds like you need to replace the door lock switch this kills all power to the unit because it makes sure the door is all the way shut and locked before it will operate if something is out of whack in this set up the dishwasher just does not function period. This is where i would go first. Please rate my solution it is how i earn my achievements. Thanks in advance.

Like to remove the control panel
-
-
1
Turn the breaker switch for the
dishwasher to the "off" position at the breaker box before attempting to
remove the dishwasher panel.
-
2
Locate the screws on the lower access panel and unfasten them with a screwdriver, setting the screws out of the way.
-
3
Detach the control console from
the top of the front panel by unfastening the screws underneath the
console with a screwdriver and setting the screws aside.
-
4
Find the screws at the bottom of
the front panel and unfasten them with a screwdriver, allowing the
panel to slide down. Take the panel off the front of the dishwasher.

No hot water on wash cycle
Water coming into the dishwasher should be 125 degrees if not you will have cold/warm water. This will case poor wash/dry and longer wash times. If you have correct water temp. change out your control. Your heating relay is bad. part#266746

Bosch Dishwasher will not dry
Bosch dishwashers do not have built in heated dryers. Be sure your water is hot enough and the rinse aid dispenser is not empty. The Bosch should heat your water to a minimum temp and if it is not, this could be your problem.
