My Bosch SHU9915UC dishwasher will not power on.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your post " My Bosch SHU9915UC dishwasher will not power on " it may just be a loose/burnt connection in the dishwasher junction box or a severed wire in the door panel.

** I would start by first shutting off the breaker...safety first**

Then removing the kick plate ( access panel at the bottom )...

macmarkus_133.jpg

...and checking the wiring at the junction box for the dishwasher 120vac supply line.

Remove the murret's and visually inspect the wire for "resistance burn" and strip the wires back and install new fastener's if necessary to repair.

i.e.

60f6a31.jpg

This is actually quite common to find a wire connector come loose due to improper fastening and once the unit is in use for a while the connections heat & cool, become loose from normal operating vibrations and burn up from all the added heat caused by "resistance".

Typically this will manifest in just the manner you've described.

If it looks OK there I'd remove the outer door panel ( careful the edges are sharp ) via the six #20 torx head screws...

macmarkus_168.jpg

...check for a severed wire at the pivot point in the door, typically covered in a plastic casing as shown here..
.

macmarkus_169.jpg

The small plastic blocks which may be present in the bottom corners of the door panel, i.e.

macmarkus_170.jpg
...they can be a pain to re-install, but they do only go in one way, however it is ok to leave them out...their only purpose is to strengthen the structure.

Let me know what you find and I'll try to assist you further if necessary. Thank you for choosing FixYa today for your inquiry.

Dishwasher will not pump water out

The impeller of the pump-out pump siezes OR the impeller siezes because the water seals inhibit it from turning.
Problem well described in Owners Manual.
Yo may need to empty with a bucket initially.
Under the filter plates, there's a plastic access cover to the impeller.
You need to remove 1 Philips Head screw, the cover lifts off, and you can see the impeller, it is about 25mm (1") in diameter.
Remove any foreign material in or around the impeller.
Spin the impeller by hand.... it sometimes feels a little resistant, as though the seals on its shaft are gripping it.... this is OK.
Reassemble and try it out.

Good Luck

Dishwasher will not pump

Described in owners manual, there's access to pump impeller from within the dishwasher, impeller stalls when gunk accumulates in it.
There's 1 Philips screw to remove, then a plastic plate, and you will see the impeller.
I suspect that the impeller seal also causes the pump to sieze, but not completely sure of that.

Good Luck

Not washing, no water coming into the dishwasher

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
When the water comes however, won't go inside the unit then it indicates that the problem is either with a clogged/blocked inlet valve or the water inlet valve itself has gone bad and needs replacement. You can also test two terminals of the water inlet valve before replacing it. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Our Bosch dlx series dishwasher

Hello,

Welcome to Fixya ! You've come to the right place. The problem you're experiencing sounds like (unfortunately) a common one.

The water inlet valve has been an issue with B/S/H built ( this includes bosch, thermador, seimens & gaggenau ) dishwasher's going back to the mid 90's.

The part to repair it is available at most brick & mortar appliance part centers or you can check out on-line vendors such as repairclinic.com, apwagner.com etc.

Do a search for part # 1105846 at repairclinic ( that is their part # not B/SH/ ) you'll see what I'm talikng about. By the way it's about $35. Hope that helps move you forward.

Let me know if I can assist you further, or need help on how to change it etc. It's relatively easy with Bosch. Thanks for coming to "fixya" for your inquiries and please take a second to rate this answer according to my helpfulness.

Good luck.

I changed my water control valve, thinking my

Hi,

There is a simple explanation for this - water is leaking into the bottom of your dishwasher under the washing compartment. This has caused the float to rise and trip the switch which activates the Aqua-Stop / anti-flood protection system. This also closes the solenoid (water control valve) which explains why you thought it needed to be replaced.

The only way to check this is to remove the washer from under the counter (disconnect power and water supply first) and tilt it backwards about 15-20 degrees. Water should run on to the floor from under the washer so I suggest putting some old towels down first. Once the water has been drained from under the washer, you can use it again, but it's not advisable if you have a leak. The only way to find the leak is to get access to the bottom of the washer by removing a side panel, usually the right-hand one. As you already replaced the solenoid, you should know how to do this. Once you have access you can run a cycle and try to see where the water is leaking from or you may be able to see signs of corrosion somewhere which should help you to identify the source of the leak.

If there is no water under the washer, you probably have a faulty float switch or possible a faulty control module.

Hope this helps. Post back if you need further assistance.

Hi my bosch washing machine

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description, " machine is leaking water from underneath... it sounds like it is filling up, but the machine is not even plugged in "... the issue is likely with the inlet/water valve.

**To remedy this you will need to replace the valve, not surprising for Bosch unfortunately**
This is what to look for..i.e.

e601791.jpg
As long as your model number is indeed SHU9915 series, this info below will be accurate.

I say not surprising because this part has been an issue for the B/S/H/ built machines in the past and as a result the original part number 189553 now substitutes to 425458. It usually retails for about $20 - $30USD at places such as "searspartsdirect.com" "repairclinic.com" to name a couple.

**Before attempting to repair the unit please turn off the power and the water supply to the dishwasher...safety first**

If you remove the lower kick plate/toe panel, you will see the inlet valve to your left...

i.e.

7d9ad1d.jpg

Replacing it is pretty straight forward. Here`s how...

1) undo the water line.

2) the two #20 torx screws fastening it in place.

156e176.jpg

3) the feed tube to the machine at the back of the valve and swap it with the new one.

and

Once the new one is in you should be good to go.

Let me know if you need any further assistance, otherwise good luck.

Thanks for visiting FixYa.

My Bosch Model SHU9915UC is not filling up with

When any electronic mechanical device is left for any period of time, and has NOT been periodically Powered Up. It WILL need a complete overhaul, apart from electronic components going out of spec, especially capacitors, also the Valves and things get jammed up. and seize. 2 years is too long of a time to expect it to just "work" again. It will need to be attended to by a professional.I know this is most likely NOT what you want to hear, but it is true and will have to be done.

Beeping sound when cycle is finished just started

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

I think can answer your question..."beeping sound when cycle is finished just started after 8 years. how do I turn it off?"

Follow these steps...

**How to Operate the Cycle Completion Signal**

1. Open door, hold down program button (see
Beeper Table below) and simultaneously turn the unit "ON".

MODEL Program BUTTON

SHU 9950 Delay Start Hours
**SHU 9910-9920 Delicate/Econo** should be yours
SHU 8800/8810 Quick Wash

SHV 6800 Delay Start Hours
SHV 4800 Delicate/Econo
SHV 4300 Delicate/Econo

2. Release program button.
a. For SHV 6803 and SHU9950 models:
The display will blink with a code of "0", "1" or
"2". You are in program mode.

? If the display blinks with a "0", you will hear
no signal (indicates OFF).

? If the display blinks with a "1", you will hear a
LOW volume signal.

? If the display blinks with a "2", you will hear a
HIGHER volume signal.

b. For all other models with the beeper
function:

? If the machine beeps, then the Cycle
Completion Signal has been enabled.

? When you push the button again and it does
not beep, it means that the Cycle Completion
Signal has been disabled.

3. To change the program, press the program
button until the desired setting is selected.

4. Turn the Dishwasher off to take it out of
program mode.

* At the end of a wash cycle, the beeper will sound
off two times, and again every 15 minutes until the
dishwasher is turned off.

Hope this answers your question and provides you with what you needed.

Thank you for choosing FixYa and good luck.

Please take a moment to rate the solution provided and a short testimony if you feel it's warranted, but also let me know if you require further assistance.

Wash doesn't go through its full cycle, then will

Hello, Welcome to FixYa. **What I`m about to share applies to All B/S/H/ dishwashers. That includes Bosch, Thermador, Gaggenau and Siemens.** Based on your description I know what the problem is, though you may not like it. I would still start by checking your water inlet temperature, the unit must be connected to a "hot" water supply line. Try running the hot water at your sink tap to insure the cold water is out of the lines just before you turn on the dishwasher. That is just a suggestion out of courtesy however... If it is what I suspect, the control, this won't make any difference but it's worth a try. If on the other hand the water is good and hot entering the machine, you likely have an issue with the control as I alluded to. The reason your dishwasher never completes a cycle is the control has detected a heating error. Here`s the most likely reason why it has detected the error... Even if your home water supply appears hot, it's not hot enough and must be heated by the dishwasher to insure a proper clean and dry. The issue with your dishwasher likely lye`s within`the electronic timer/control, specifically the heater relay solder joint. ( a faulty flow switch, ntc or heater can also cause this, but not very probable ). This is why it runs forever unless you "stop" it or by pressing the two buttons for "cancel". To repair your unit It will require you to remove the control from the unit and then remove the control from it`s plastic housing and look for a burnt solder contact on the printed circuit board. This will be one of the pins from the heater relay, hence the unit runs on and on ( because it can`t heat to advance or until canceled ) trying to heat the water. **Further to this, if you or someone you know is proficient at soldering, a lot of times it can be remedied by simply repairing the solder...although Bosch recommend`s replacing the control and I don`t pretend to speak on there behalf nor do I profess to know better. This is just my experience (it work`s) and my opinion (why buy new if one can repair ?)** **Please disconnect the power before attempting any service to the dishwasher. If you do not feel comfortable attempting this service, call a local pro, preferably one familiar with Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau, to service your machine.** Hope this answer`s your question's, let me know if I can assist you further. Thank`s for visiting "fixya" for your repair inquiries. Please take a moment and rate this solution to it's helpfulness to you and leave a testimony if you're satisfied. Good luck. macmarkus :)

Dishwasher does not start. Confirmed power is

Same symptomz, but slightly over a gallon of water remaining in bottom of washer. Found following with google:

sounds like something is jammed in drain pump. pull out screens and on left side of sump (looking down into bottom, 9:00 position) has a torx screw holding cover over drain pump, remove screw, cover has tab towards backside to lift towards you. glass is clear in water. .if no debris , spin impeller blades to see if jammed/frozen. if so, replace drain pump from front left side.

There was stuff there but impeller OK. Noticed electrical diagram near mains connection -- would be useful had I not noticed that one of the twist-on plastic insulators showed signs of overheating. Shut off power, removed an inch of insulation, retwisted new twist-ons, and repowered. Everything now works perfectly.

Hi! My Bosch began by tripping the breaker during

Hello

Welcome to Fixya.

Based on your post,"...Even when the dishwasher is off I cannot reset the breaker unless I kind of move the machine around a bit. Sometimes it pops the breaker just closing the door..."

These are the most common reason for these Bosch dishwashers not having power.

#1

I would start by first shutting off the breaker. Then removing the kick plate ( access panel at the bottom ) and checking the wiring at the junction box for the dishwasher 120vac supply line.

Remove the murret's and visually inspect the wire for "resistance burn" and strip the wires back and install new fastener's if necessary to repair.

This is actually quite common to find a wire connector come loose due to improper fastening and once the unit is in use for a while the connections heat & cool, become loose from normal operating vibrations and burn up from all the added heat caused by "resistance".

#2

A wire severed inside the door panel, hence the breaker trips by just moving the door in an open/close motion.

Check thoroughly in this location...

The end result is tripping the breaker and no power to the controls.

Check it out and post back what you find. Thanks for visiting "fixya" and please take a moment to rate the solution/suggestion provided here for you.
