Hello,
This model new was around $1000 dollars. I would put a few bucks into to get it back up and running. The most common issue is the circulation pump. The pump freezes up and will often cause this issue.

Unit gets stuck in the drain cycle portion of the

Hello,
Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description, it sounds like the emergency overfill switch has been actuated. Here`s what to do and what to look for.

**Turn off the breaker/power at your homes service panel...safety first of course**

Remove the the bottom panel, referred to as a toe panel or kick-plate, essentially the lower service panel shown here...

dd2a40d.jpg

When you remove the outer toe panel, there will be another small panel which is non finished steel, I find removing that allows much easier access as well.

27e2e22.jpg

This panel can be somewhat more difficult as it secures the plastic channeling for the wires but if you observe closely you`ll see it does "snap" out of place...carefully.

8d2e98d.jpg

Once the panel has been removed check for any obvious signs of water in the base ( the unit has a plastic overfill basin with a float which will actuate an emergency overfill cycle, hence the drain pump runs & runs )

f5b8d76.jpg

If you don`t see any water in this area, direct your attention to the left in this basin/bottom ( from the front to be sure ) and you should see a device which will resemble a "stir stick" you`d use for coffee etc. it will be a red in color stick.

5c066c9.jpg

With the aid of a wooden spoon, long screwdriver, or if you can manage to reach by hand, lift it up and down gently and listen for a "click".

If there is no sign of water and you can here the "click" when lifting up and down the float actuater ( red stick ) then turn the machine back on and give it a try before reassembling the toe panel so you can observe for any possible leaks.

Let me know what you find. This is the most likely cause of the symptom you are describing so we can move forward if this doesn`t resolve the issue. Thanks for choosing FixYa. Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Water drips out at the bottom 2 coners

Check the gasket on the door. Make sure it is free of debris that would cause the seal to leak. Also check for damage. If damaged it needs to be replaced. There are online websites where you can order replacement OEM parts. If dirty take warm, soapy water and a soft cloth and gently clean the gasket.

The front door is falling off

I don't have a Bosch, but my Kitchenaid would not stay closed; the door would fall to the floor. There are cables that run along the sides of the machine that need to be replaced because one or both have snapped. Of course, your Bosch could be different. The tech manual is generally located behind the kickplate under the dishwasher; just unscrew the two screws to take off the kickplate.

The cycle is not completing. The machine just

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description
I'd say the issue actually is with the control...unfortunately. This is commonly associated with a heating fault on Bosch built dishwashers ( various models including Bosch, Thermador, Siemens, Gaggenau, and Neff )...hence the unit seldom completes it's cycling.

Since the issue is likely within the electronic timer/control, specifically the heater relay solder joint. ( a faulty flow switch, ntc or heater can also cause this, but not very probable ).
These are the steps you'll need to follow to resolve it or at least investigate.

If you feel capable of checking this on your own, there`s a way to visually inspect the control yourself...it really isn't very complicated.

It will require you to remove the control from the unit and then remove the control from it`s plastic housing and look for a burnt solder contact on the printed circuit board.

dabfa62.jpg

The culprit will 99% of the times be one of the pins from the heater relay,

9f1823d.jpg

**Flip this over and inspect the solder joints, it will be obvious when you see it.**

This ones new, but it's where to look...

9119d99.jpg

...hence the unit sit`s and takes longer & longer to finish because it can`t heat to advance or unless the 2 buttons for "cancel" are pressed...this can also manifest as a long cycle time as I mentioned and eventually display's "1" on units with a display and usually very poor cleaning, no heating ( don't be fooled by the homes inlet hot water temperature ) as a result.

You can also run the unit through a regular or econo cycle ...any cycle with the exception of rinse & hold, and with the door panel removed place an ammeter on the gray/black wire it should draw 11 amps during the wash cycle...after it fills and the flow switch indicates it has adequate water to engage the heater.

i.e. ( this may differ from your specific model, but the same rules apply )

f57273b.jpg
**My Opinion - if you or someone you know is proficient at soldering, a lot of times it can be remedied by simply repairing the solder...but it has to be done well...or it will not last.
Bosch recommend`s replacing the control and I don`t pretend to speak on their behalf nor do I profess to know better. This is just my experience (it work`s) and my opinion (why buy new if one can repair ?)**

**Please disconnect the power or turn off the breaker before attempting any service to the dishwasher.**

If you do not feel comfortable attempting this service, call a local pro, preferably one familiar with Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau/Siemens, to service your machine.
Thank`s for visiting "FixYa" for your repair inquiries. Please take a moment and rate this solution to it's helpfulness.

Good luck.

The drain is running non stop, even when I open

Hi,
It sounds like the problem is in the fill valve or solenoid valve....the valve is not going shut all the way and the the water continues to come into the sidhwasher...
To check this out I would try just turning the water on to the dishwasher for the time that it is running and then turn it off and see hwat happens...

this is assuming that you have a valve on the dishwasher feed that you can turn off... usually this will be under your kitchen sink or wherever your hot water to the dishwasher is feed from...

The dishwasher does not work at all. It just makes

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

It sounds like you may have a faulty fill valve or a stuck motor impeller. I guess the first obvious question is, Does the unit fill with water ? If no and it hums, faulty fill valve or water supply is off.

If it does fill with water does the humming begin after it has filled, and if so has the unit recently been idle for a period of time...say a couple of weeks or so ? If yes, the wash impeller has become stuck and there is a simply resolution for Bosch dishwashers, it's a common occurrence.

These are relevant questions and can point directly to the problem if you want to reply I can help you move forward.

Let me know what you find and I'll try to assist you in any manner I can going forward.

Water in bottom of bosch

Hi

Dishwasher not draining issue occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. To access the drain pump, please follow the procedure---
1. Drain pumps are mounted to sumps in the front of dishwashers --they're easily accessible from the front of dishwashers by removing toe kicks.
2. Tools needed: small flat blade screwdriver (for unlocking terminals).
3. Remove toe kick/base cover, pull up terminal cover and disconnect wires (using screwdriver to unlock locking terminals).
4. To remove pump, pull latch (on circular collar) & rotate pump clockwise (cw).
5. To install new pump, insert @ 2:00 position & rotate counterclockwise (ccw).
6. Clean water & debris from base, then check float operation.
7. Connect wires, then install base cover & toe kick.
Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

After cycle completed, opened door and found water

Possible that the drain pump needs a closer look , clean and check if the pump is working. If there is voltage to the pump during the drian then the pump is faulty.
The second issue if the inlet chocking , check the inlet filter , check the flow to inlet. remove the valve if there is voltage and no flow if not the program controller needs a check.
I shall give you a link which might assist you with some helpful tips.

Bosch model SHU9915UC dish whasher

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description, "water feed will not turn off"...the issue is not likely the control, but rather with the inlet/water valve.

**To remedy this you will need to check and likely replace the valve**

This is what to look for..i.e.

e601791.jpg

As long as your model number is indeed correct, this info below will be accurate.

Original part is # 425458. It usually retails for about $20 - $30USD at places such as "searspartsdirect.com" "repairclinic.com" to name a couple, if needed. They may be available at your local brick & mortar parts depot/vendors.

**Before attempting to repair the unit please turn off the power and the water supply to the dishwasher...safety first**

If you remove the lower kick plate/toe panel, you will see the inlet valve to your left...

i.e.

7d9ad1d.jpg

Replacing it or to check for debris in the filter/screen at the inlet is pretty straight forward. Here`s how...

1) undo the water line. ( here you can visually inspect the screen in the valve...if nothing noted, you'll likely need to replace it as follows )

2) Remove the two #20 torx screws fastening it in place.

156e176.jpg

3) the feed tube to the machine at the back of the valve and swap it with the new one.

and

Once the new one is in or it's all clear you should be good to go.

Let me know if you need any further assistance, otherwise good luck.

Welcome to FixYa.

I can provide you with the complete service manual, it's up to you. You'd need to provide an email address though for me to send the service manual to.

I think the service manual can lay out for you in more detail the procedure to install a new control than I can. I'll watch for your reply.
