Bosch 24 in. SHU53 Built-in Dishwasher Questions & Answers
Door on detergent container hard to close
You can try cleaning the cover assembly with a small brush (tooth brush works well), but the mechanism may be worn or broken and need replacement. This should be replaced as an assembly, not just the cover door.
Error 23 in bosch dishwasher
E23
Winding resistance of drain pump fault.
The controlled has detected a break or short in the drain pump wiring. Many of these dishwashers use this pump which is a cheap compatible one.
Dado
Bracket to keep unit from falling over
Built in dishwashers usually have screw holes in the sides to screw directly to the adjacent cabinet. Have a look for plastic plugs down the inside of the cabinet opening and take them out to see if the holes go all the way through to the outside.
How do i run a test / diagnostic mode for the bosch sge63e05uc (evolution series) dishwasher?
Are the instructions on how to run the diagnostic test listed in the manual? FYI, I couldn't run the test on my Bosch DW because it was just too broken. Over the years the dishwasher essentially fried its own circuit board with excessive heat, which I learned is a problem common to Bosch DW's. Bosch told me the lifespan of my model was 10 years; mine was 11 years old (but was repaired once or twice). I replaced it with a Miele; no problems yet after 4 1/2 months.
Is there a Reset button for Bosch shu53 dishwasher?
Press and hold Scrub Wash and Delicate/Econo buttons at the same time for three seconds. This will advance the unit to "CL" (clean), meaning the washing cycle is finished, and will drain the water. Do this if your unit gets stuck on 1 minute left, which is common with this model. (I am told that the control panel melts over time, and that the unit is not designed to last more than 10 years.)
Need reset sequence
o reset the control module AP2802870, you will put the dishwasher into the cancel/drain mode and let it complete the cycle. When you installed the new control remove the jumper from the original front lower right hand # 1 board male port. Starting from the extreme lower rt.corner, there is a 6-terminal connector with a jumper wire looping # 5 and # 6 terminals. (counting from the right to the left). Use this on your new board. Then reset the controls.
Hi, we have a Bosch
My Bosch DW SHU5302 also got stuck during a cycle and ran and ran. Turns out this is a known problem with these DW's. The problem is that a trace on the main board burns off that controls the heater. If the heater doesn't come on then the DW keeps running waiting for the water to heat up. Re-soldering this trace fixes this problem. If you get a repair guy out, he will only change the board. They are not allowed to re-solder which doesn't fix the problem for long as the same trace will burn off. Did this about 8 years ago and it is still fine.
We have a 8 y.o
Hello, welcome to FixYa.
Based on your post and my experience with Bosch, If it does fill with water as you said I have a question to it's behaviour once filling stops. Do you hear a humming begin after it has filled, and if so has the unit recently been idle for a period of time...say a couple of weeks or so ?
If yes, the wash impeller has possibly become stuck and if so there is a simple resolution for Bosch dishwashers, it's a common occurrence.
These are relevant questions and can point directly to the problem if you want to reply I can help you move forward.
Let me know what you find and I'll try to assist you in any manner I can going forward.

Upper spray arm of the dishwasher is not moving
Hello, I just had to repair a similar situation on the same type of bosh. I removed the entire track that the water travels through to get to the spray arm in which I found no blockages at all. I still cleaned the entire path anyway. Next I removed the lower spray arm and examined the port hole that feeds the upper spray arm then removed the torx head screws giving me access to the sump area. When I could see the port holes on the sump I turned the unit on let it run for about ten seconds and then opened the door when you do this there is still residual water still comeing out of the hole if the sump is not clogged. Instead of disecting the pump I instead decided to just replace the sump as a whole came to about 32.00 for the sump. I installed the new sump and alleviated the issue the customer was having where water wasnt going to the upper arm. Afterwards I looked at the old sump trying to figure what could of been blocking the water from flowing. When you remove the sump on the underside in one of the ports there was a rubber piece that one of the hoses plug into that had come loose and enlarged on the inside of the sump itself. After reviewing the old sump I am quite glad I just decided to order a new one even though it took 9 days for me to get the part due to there were none in stock and I had to wait for it to be made. In order to just replace this rubber piece as well as pick it out of the inside of the sump at the time would have been not only a long tedious process but also a real pain in a customers 2.5m home with marble counters and floors. Needless to say the unit is now up and running. And a word to the wise use to 2x4s on each of the sides and remove the side panels as well. click this link

Got a lound buzz type
You may have dislocated the connection that controls the AquaStop circuit.
This is linked to the inlet hose. Either the connector linking the inlet tap to the inlet valve is loose or the float switch has triggered.
Check the
diagrams on this site. The float circuit is shown in the base assembly.
I hope this helps. In case you want more details I will need the full model number of the dishwasher. The 5-6 additional characters after SHU53.
