Will be buying a new machine, since we found out their lifespans are between 8-12 years. Don't want to keep on sinking money into fixing the machine or asking for advice.

is it clean water.if so that may be normal.read your opperators manual it will advise you.if its dirty water youve got a blockage

Remove the bottom panel and check the float switch, it is probably stuck in the up position.

most bosch have the inlet valve at the end of the fill pipe and it has an anti-flood device.
try turning off the water, take off the fill pipe then reconnect it and see if this works.
taking off the fill pipe resets the anti-flood device

it is purely a technical task call a technician from BOSCH.

Did you get your problem resolved. By now I think you have found the two screws on the sides of the inter part of the door. Did replacing the module fix your problem. I have the same problem.

check inside the back of the gauge it may have falty wiring or it might just be dirty.

Sounds like the control module is out -- cost about $100 (I am on my third). I got a "lifetime" warranty when buying my second one. If you are handy, you can replace it yourself. You can call Bosch to confirm this (I did). It mounts inside the door. Mine is a BOSCH 5316.

The draining problem may mean a clogged drain hose -- you have to check it all the way back to either the main drain or the garbage disposal (if you have one). This may be what forced off the impeller wheel.

Check that the filter is clean -- (more likely) is your drain hose clear? -- you may have to trace it all the way back to the main drain or garbage disposal to be sure. My Bosch 5316 would not drain well, and I found it was clogged at the join up at the top of the sink.

It sounds like a thermal stop. The water in the rinse wants to get up to a certain temp to satisfy the thermistor but doesn't reach it so it will stay there. If you have an amp probe you can put it on to see if the heater is coming on. This could be your problem.
