Bosch 23 in. SHU33A Built-In Dishwasher Questions & Answers
Why does the dishwasher smell hot?
Most do. When the dishwasher is operating, they can get to around 85 to 95 degrees which is far hotter than usual sink hand washing temps. The insulation and liners on the cabinet of the dishwasher give off a "hot" smell when they get to full temperatures.
Bosch SHU33A-No Water coming out arms Top/Bottom.
this is suposed to ocurr for the first 3 minutes of every cycle , this step was added to dishwashers of late because everyone seems to wrinse the dishes off first ,adding a lot of driping water to bottom , so it's just pumping it out thats why it's so important to use the detgerent dispensers and not just dump it into bottom
SHE33M Built-In Dishwasher handle broke off?
You have not put the full Enr, but from the bit you have added I assume you are in the states. I think you should be able to get parts from
http://www.searspartsdirect.comUsually if the control panel breaks on this model, it is because you have the child lock activated on the door latch inadvertently and therefore have to force the door to get it open. This in turn puts stress on the panel which will eventually break. When you get the new panel ensure that you remove the child lock from the door latch. If you take off the front fascia panel and look at the door latch (centre top) you will see a yellow lever attached to it with a spring, just pop this off and you will immediately find that the door is much easier to open. All the best.
Shu3305uc/u12 not draining
Hi prism..... The most common cause of this problem is a partial blockage in the drain pump and or the drain line. Generally some draining occurs, but you are left with some water in the base of the dishwasher. Remove the lower panel from the dishwasher, this requires a #2 phillips screwdriver. There are generally 2 screws on each side. Once removed, you will see the drain hose going from a small pump near the floor up the side and out through the cabinet under the sink where that hose is attached to the drain or the garbage disposal [if you have one]. Have some rags handy as there will be about 2 cups of water or more.
Remove the drain hose from the drain pump by loosening the hose clamp. let that water flow out and watch to see if there is debris there. Next unscrew the pump and physically examine it inside as there is sometimes some glass or bone fragments there causing the problem.
Finally, disconnect the drain hose under the sink and check to be sure that that area is not partialy blocked. Reassemble. Joe
Water comes into dishwasher cold.
Hello,
Welcome to FixYa.
Have you insured the unit is connected to a hot water supply line ? The water will not heat until it start's to circulate and activates the "flow switch" in the Bosch dishwashers.
If it is connected to a hot water supply, try running the hot water at your sink taps before turning on the dishwasher. If you still do not have hot water, check your hot water heater or supply.
If it is indeed connected to a cold water supply it will work, just be prepared for very long wash cycles since the Bosch machines will heat the water at a rate of 2F per minute...it could take a long time to reach 155F.
Let me know what you find out and I'll try to assist you in any manner I can going forward.

Macmarkus :)

A solution to this problem would be to sell me your dishwasher. The law
firm for which I work is looking to acquire an old unrepaired Bosch SHU
33 dishwasher for some ongoing litigation. If you (or anyone else with
this model Bosch) could send me some details regarding your dishwasher,
you may be able simply to buy a whole new dishwasher. My email is
JFraser -at- jshlawmi.com.
Thanks!

My Bosch SHU33A stopped working part way through
Hi,
I would start by first shutting off the breaker. Then removing the kick plate ( access panel at the bottom ) and checking the wiring at the junction box for the dishwasher 120vac supply line. This is actually quite common to find a wire connector come loose due to improper fastening and once the unit is in use for a while the connections heat & cool, become loose from normal operating vibrations and burn up from all the added heat caused by "resistance". The end result is no power to the controls. Check it out and post back what you find.
Thanks for visiting "fixya" and please take a moment to rate the solution/suggestion provided here for you.
Good luck.

Water not draining after wash
Have you purchased a new food waste disposer for the kitchen sink area? If so, make certain if you are draining the dishwasher directly into the food waste disposer, that you have removed the plug from the food disposer. Or you may be correct that the water pump is inoperable due to an obstruction or basic malfunction. Contact an appliance service company.
Unit runs but no water flows
Check whether water is flowing the flexible hose. Check the strainer attached to the hose at the machine end.
However try pouring water straight into the wash chamber and start the machine. If it works, it is the incoming water problem

I need to look at bosch SHU5312UC exploded viewe of the door
Hello,
I think I know the pieces you are referring to and you can only install them one way. I can direct you to searspartsdirect.com and if you enter your model number you should have access to several breakdown illustrations of your d/w however, I`m here to tell you, don`t sweat it. Most illustration`s I`ve seen don`t even show them either.
Those two blocks ( which slide into the front of the hinge behind the door panel by the way ) can remain left out without any functional consequence to your dishwasher. In fact the regional training representative for north america used to joke with us techs how he had a collection of them from tossing them into his toolbox instead of putting them back in place. They do increase the structural support of the front panel, but unless you plan on moving it around frequently, I wouldn`t worry about it.
If you are still concerned, post back with your email and I can send you a complete repair guide in "pdf" format for your dishwasher.
Hope this was helpful to you. Thank you for coming to "fixya" and please let me know if I/we can assist you further in this matter. Please take a moment and rate the info I provided for you here today.
Good luck.
