Timer switch has broken on bosch wvf 2401 how to replace?

First remove screws X2 from back of the machine that hold the top cover on. Once removed the whole top slides backwards and can then be lifted off. This gives you access to the plastic clips that hold the timer face panel on. The main control dial must first be pulled off through the front cover, then remove the front cover by unclipping it (a pain and a fiddle!) The dial on the timer can then be pulled off revealing the two mounting screws that hold the timer in!!

Why my bosch classixx keeps stopping every 5 minutes

The above answers were pretty helpful, did you fix your problem with them? Did you check the manual for further instructions? You can find a PDF copy here: Bosch Classixx 5 Manual

Bosch classixx wvf 2402 at the end of the dry spinning cycle, 5-6 minutes the machine makes a terrible noise. What could this be?

Can you describe the noise? Is everything else working normally? From what you are saying, my guess at this point would be that the pulley on the motor is working loose.

Bosch WVF 2402 Washer Drier Steam Problem

Hello All

Problem solved by clearing out the condensate container which on inspection was full of dried up fluff and dead tissues! This is not a ****that is mentioned in the manual and access to the bin is pretty tricky so I suspect there are lots of machines out there with the same problem waiting to happen.

Access was gained by taking the top of the machine off, removing the dryer motor and then scraping out the muck using a wire coathanger and a vacuum cleaner.

Many thanks

Bosch classixx wash and dry - washing machine works fine but dryer does not start and door light does not go out?

if the door light is not going out it is an indication that the door switch is not working. this would also cause it to not run because it thinks the door is still open.

Washing machine door not opening

If the unit has not drained fully the door will not open, check the filter for foreign objects and then put the machine on spin cycle, check the door after this. Worst case scenario is the the door handle was pulled too hard whilst the door was still locked and the catch has broken. Post if more assistance reqd

I need a manual for

Same again! Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

I'm so sorry but this forum does not, nor is in a position to, supply any type of manual (service or otherwise), parts list, installation instructions, electrical or schematic diagrams direct; it's just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home and from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web ;-0)
Also members on Fixya are not 'affiliated' to, or representative of, any manufacturer at all, just using their experience gained probably over many years

You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

I think that there's something stuck in the

It is so common that the washing machine can make terrible noise in many ways and is a common fault. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the drum had caught up such articles and is grinding them beneath which means that you will need to dissemble , the drum agitator shaft and fittings . When reassembling tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

For tips to remove the drum and checking.

No manual do not know how to programme the machine

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

It still amazes me that new washing machines, other than those sold in the UK, seem not to have manuals placed inside the drum/tub! I think that purchasers should demand one from the vendor and threaten to go elsewhere if it doesn't supply the goods!

Now- sorry but unfortunately FixYa cannot provide manuals direct - members of the forum are just people from all over the world, probably working from home, and not representing any particular manufacturer ;-0)

Softner wont dispence

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

This is a common problem with many machines so I have pre-typed the following guidance notes to cover more than one situation. In your case the last para probably worth reading first- but still read all, please!
-------------------------------------
I suspect that it is the conditioner/softener tray which needs a thorough clean, paying particular attention to the sentences in BOLD OR the water feed into the softener tray is not working properly. If the latter, follow these instructions and then clean the jets where the softener water is supposed to enter before calling for service;-0)
Remove the complete drawer. To do this you will have to do one of the following-
  • Top catch- push down the lip/catch at the middle rear and pull the drawer out (that's how our Bosch one is removed)
  • release the catches underneath (our daughter's Indesit) or
  • lift upwards on the tray as it is coming out to clear the lip underneath.
Once out identify which tray is for the conditioner- the others are simply 'chutes' and open-ended.
It will normally have some sort of cover over it which you must remove to expose the little stuck up pipe/tube. On some models there is just a small individual cap over the tube
but on others the cover is part of the tray's plastic top. The tube is down which the conditioner and water should siphon. It is likely to be blocked by 'gunge'- a mix of powder and conditioner. The whole of the tray, particularly this pipe and the bit which fits over it, must be completely clean and clear for it to operate correctly. It is worthwhile checking fairly regularly.

If this does not work, pull out the dispenser drawer far enough to be able to just see the softener tray, select the (final?) rinse and check that water is entering the tray. If it isn't there is a fault with the water distribution and an engineer call is required ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
