BOSCH WFMC3200 Washer - Receiving

there is small hole in the cover you need to push a small screwdriver or ice pick works in the hole and then turn clockwise till it comes off.
But there will be some water come out so if you have a wet dry shop vac then use it on the end of the drain hose to remove most of the water then keep it handy when you take the plug out there will still be some water come out and you should be able to clena out the trap area

The water smells bad as if it is not draining

Hi

Try using bleach with hot water, run a cycle with hot water and bleach. Or spray bleach +water mixture on the seal. Run a cleaning cycle with hot water and bleach or vinegar at least once a month to reduce the growth of mold in other parts of the washer. You can also try using 1/2 a cup of Washing Soda or 4 cups of baking soda Crystals and run the machine with no clothes in it. This would remove all the debris, lint & mold growth from the drain pump and drain filter. This would clean the mold from the door seal as well. Hope this helps.. Please post back if you need mor information.

I keep getting a E 4 signal. A Bosche rep told me

You can find this issue addressed on another site....

http://www0.epinions.com/review/pr-Bosch_WFMC_3200_Washing_Machine/content_158390980228

Due to popular request, here is more information on the E:04 problem, and some assorted tips:

If you get the E:04 error, he first thing to try is turning the washer off and back on again. You will more than likely have to begin the cycle over, but sometimes this will clear the message.

Since clogging up the drainage pipe, I have gotten that E:04 message when I've used too much laundry soap. I think that's the main reason people see that message. Just turn the washer off and start the cycle again WITHOUT adding any additional soap. I think the suds somehow make the washer think the drainage pipe is clogged.

The other thing that can happen is a genuine clog, like in the case I described in my review. The Bosch is excellently engineered to protect the pump from damage. There is a circular panel on the front of the washer that hides the drainage hose. Remove this panel (simple, but there is a knack to it) and you can pull the drainage hose out. Keep a bucket handy because the hose will be full of water. You may lose a little bit of skin off your hand during this process, and it's best if you can have the salesman demonstrate this procedure for you. That panel is not the easiest thing to remove. You have to reach in past some sharp metal to get to the drainage pipe. Wrap a towel around your hand and BE CAREFUL. It's definitely worth a shot if saving a service call is worth it to you (and clearing out clogs are NOT covered by the basic warranty). My service man assured me that removing this panel would not invalidate the warranty, but you may want to check with your dealer before you open up yours.

It's been about six months and I still adore my washer. I've found the Temp Boost setting is best for cotton towels, Delicates is great for, well, delicates, the Warm Permanent Press setting is great for jeans, and Cold Permanent Press great for most clothes. To avoid getting small items stuck between the glass and the rubber inner seal, do not overload the washer. If I try to wash too many socks, one will now and then end up in that small space. You can cram one big thing in the washer and it will still get clean (I regularly wash a bathroom carpet in there), but DO NOT cram it full of lots of little things. Follow the helpful loading instructions for each cycle.

I found a Bosch WFMC3200 Front Load Washer for

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

The pump for those WFMC washers is part # 436440 and priced around $75USD at "repairclinic.com" or "searspartsdirect.com" to name a couple.

I would caution you though before going ahead and buying the pump, you may not need it. It is too common that folks mis-diagnose Bosch machines due to lack of knowledge or lack of interest, I can't say.

Often it is merely an obstruction in the pump or a stuck check ball in the sump. I'd suggest you wait until you can check it over before purchasing any parts you can't return. For $100 I'd buy any bosch as long as it isn't something major worn, like the main tub bearing gone.

Hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing FixYa and I hope you'll take a moment to rate the info I provided for you here. Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Some of the lights on

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question

How can I get rid of the water in the water

I previously had this problem. The way I resolved this problem was by taking out the tray that is the soap/bleach/softener. It had a lot of mildew in/on it that I could not see. I removed the tray, cleaned it really well with bleach and water. Be sure to get the little"tubes" really well. It fixed my problem, I hope this works for you !

I have a Bosch frontloading

You are turning it the correct way.
There is probably something stuck in the filter preventing it from coming out, tug hard as you are unscrewing it.

WFMC 3200 Front Load Washer: how do i unlock door? bosch washer was just deliv...

Hi, welcome to fixya. The emergency latch release is behind the small round panel below the main tub door. **Unplug the washer or turn off the breaker before attempting any suggestion given here please** To open the access door ( small round panel ) you'll require a small round needle shaped object or really narrow screwdriver. Put it in the small hole in the panel push in slightly and turn to about 6 o'clock...clockwise that is The small round cover should now come off and expose the pump with the string going through a hook on the pump housing. Be very careful as the edges are very sharp. A string will be threaded through the pump housing and you just need to pull it to open the main door. Let me know how you make out and also if you require further assistance with this problem. If you don't require further assistance and this indeed was helpful to you, please allow a moment to rate this solution I've given accordingly. Thank you for visiting "fixya" today and good luck. If i use combination tablets

Hi,

The combination tablets are very convenient and do work well but you will still need to use salt and rinse aid for the best results. The reason for this is that every dishwasher has a specific time or times that it needs that chemical (rinse aid or salt) to be released. The tablets will release it but maybe not at the best times.

Installation of bello gaskit

Did you remove the complete front panel to remove gasket? If not, you are going to struggle to get new one on and refit the inner spring. Usually if you add a few drops of washing up liquid to the inner crease of the door gasket it will help.

Loud ratteling sound when spinnining

Hi, You could try it without the belt on and see if it is noise created by the motor, could be easy to repair if so. **shut off the breaker before trying to service it in any way please** Although there is no adjustment and these are "brushless motors" there may a loose mounting bolt, check closely for that. Worst case scenario the motor is available for around $150-$175 at most brick & mortar parts places or on-line vendors like repairclinis.com, apwagner.com etc. Let me know what you find out, cross your fingers and good luck.
