WFR 2460 Front loader

We went through the whole "clean the soap dispenser" deal and results were the same. Exploratory surgery revealed that the Prewash hose (for lack of better term), which connects from the top of the drum housing to the right side of the dispenser drawer (facing the machine)was completely clogged with gunk. Especially strange since we don't prewash hardly anything, ever. The hose that connects the bottom of the detergent dispenser with the side of the drum housing did have a lot of buildup, but I do not believe it was the cause because this was only happening on the rinse cycle. I also found the flow meter was frozen up.c9cc7cfa-6e34-4571-b319-432b94ce532b.jpg

WATER WONT SHUT OFF

Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Bosch washer 2460 signals water tap closed, is

If you have checked the hoses and screens then the most probable failure is the inlet water valve. I suspect that one of the electrical water valve solenoids has failed. If you using cold water try a warm or hot wash. If your using hot or warm try a cold wash. I am not sure on this washer if there is a mixing valve but may front loading washers have mixing valves that mix hot and cold water simply to help dissolve the HE type soaps. If changing wash temp makes no difference then a continuity check for inlet water valve coil resistance will have to be performed with an inexpensive ohm meter. If there is no continuity the solenoid has failed and the inlet water valve will have to be replaced. This unit appears to have 2 inlet water valves one for hot and cold and one for just cold that is used for diluting soap. You will need to check all 3 solenoids for continuity. The inlet water valves are items 5 and 6 of this picture:http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/frame_diagram.aspx?diagram_id=192773&pkw_=basket&model_id=5110159&NewWindow=1You can find replacement parts here:: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5110159&diagram_id=192773#d192773Let me know if you need more assistance. Bosch WFR2460 washer---we also had

Hi joecci,

It looks like the Door Lock may be faulty, but here is a few things you should consider looking at first:

1) Is the door closed properly?
2) Have you tried giving it power straight from the mains, the door lock needs the correct power before it functions correctly?

I believe one of the above things will resolve the problem, let me know if it does?

Regards

A while ago, my WFR

Your washer has 2 seperate valves for hot and cold. Sounds like the hot water solenoid valve has failed.

Error code F18

F18 error code means that the filter is blocked.

Look around for a propeller shaped part, it should be able to spin freely. If not, remove the debris so that it is unblocked.

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answer).
