Are you in a hard water area?hard water plays havoc with all types of plumbing but especially shower heads.

Sometimes a piece of rubber from the cartridge will plug the holes in the cartridge and prevent water from flowing. Replace cartridge...Moen will give you a free one. Just call their warranty hotline.

you might need to replace it as it is cracked, as you tighten it that will just expand the crack, if it is under warranty, contact the manufacturer

Hopefully you had the correct type of cartridge for your faucet. I would suggest watching this YouTube video to make sure the cartridge was inserted and fixed correctly. The travel of the cartridge may not be aligned correctly. Hard to think of anything else that could still cause the drip. How to repair replace leaky moen cartridge on single lever tub shower...

No, do not force it. If it is a Moen faucet, you must align the tabs at the end of the cartridge to allow for the insertion of the clip. The tabs must be at the 12 O'clock and 6 O'clock positions. The cartridge must also be in all the way or the clip will not fit

Dont know the particular shower model but usually if one of the inlet filters is blocked it will automatically shut down for safety. The filters are usually on the inlet connections directly on the mixer unit,do not forget to isolate the water supply first! Wash out and replace

Where it suddenly became not hot enough, it's probably not an adjustment. It sounds like the stem needs to be replaced
