Crane Plumbing Toilet To Go Tall Elongated Toilet Questions & Answers
Pretty new toilet seems to drip down the drane
Sounds like the flapper isn't sitting properly. Take the lid off the tank and put a few drops of food coloring in it. Let it sit for a while (do not flush). If the water in the bowl turns that color, that means the flapper needs replacing. Simple to do and costs about 5 bucks. Good luck

Toilet - 14 inch rough in
Hrm, I see what you mean and this may be a bit late.
The 14" rough in is not standard (as in 12") and the depth (from the back of the tank to the front edge of the bowl is your concern here?).
Kohler also has a Sterling brand with the Windham model. This will sit on the 14" rough and measure less than 30" from the back wall.
You could also go with a Toto ($$$ concerns) as they have a unifit system that allows for adjustment from your roughed in closet/toilet flange. It basically mounts to your flange and then sets back 2" or 4" depending on which model Toto toiler you are installing. The Soiree-?sp may be your best bet for depth concerns, but not so good for your wallet.

Basement toilet drains slow sometimes ,other times
if the toilet is old or not cleaned proper, the water jets that shoot the water into the bowl might be clogged. If the jets are clogged with moldor hard water build up the toilet will not flush proper. If you can take a 3 gallon bucket of water and pour straight into the bowl and it flushes fine you have a water pressure problem as described above. the problem also might be that your water inlet system is not letting in enough water to fill the tank. If this is the problem you need to replace the water inlet mechanisim, such as a fluid master. If you use a blue water device that hangs on the side of the tank in the back of the toilet you might have a peice of it under the flapper that takes the water to the bowl when being flushed. Check under the flapper if you put cleaners in the tank.
What can I do to assure that my commode won't
Turn off the water at the valve going to the tank of the toilet.
The valve is normally located half way between the tank and the floor, on a pipe leading to the tank.
The water in the bowl will last over a week and should not be a problem.
Good luck, I hope this helps

My toilet flushes very slowly. If I hold the
No. There is either a partial blockage between the floor flange and main stack or you have not installed the toilet properly and the wax seal has squeezed wax over the outlet hole. Always clean all old wax off of flange before installing new seal.
Can't remove old assembly...stuck in there
You have to remove the tank bolts on either side of the flush valve. Once you remove it, there is a tank to bowl seal that will need to be replaced. Remove the old seal and there will be a huge plastic nut that holds the flush valve to the tank. Remember to use new hardware when reassembling the toilet so that it won't leak sooner rather than later!

Loosing water from insulated crane toilet tank
The fill tube may have a crack in it. I am referring to the plastic tube where the water runs in from a small rubber tube connected to the fill valve to refill the bowl after you flush it also serves as an overflow tube in case the water level gets too high. a crack will allow water from the tank to run into the bowl bypassing the flapper. checks this and replace if necessary. hope this helps.
