The tank is filling to the top of the tube. How
Adjust the float attached to the fill valve. Some simply slide up and down on a racheted adjustment bar. Others screw up and down for adjustment. Flush after each adjustment until the proper fill level is acheived. Make sure there is still a sufficient amount of water at a given level to flush the toilet properly.

The float neds to be further down. The further down the float is the less water will fill in your tank.

you will need to find a plumbing store and purchase a new one, I live in SC and Larrys' Plumbing sales them, so I am sure like a HD Furgersens etc. will. Good Luck Tim

contact Kohlet online or there 1 800 number. They have all the parts but they also charge a lot.
Me I would turn on cut-off valve then go to Home Depot or Lowes and explain problem and tell model 703 and they can look it up and order your parts. They may even be cheaper then from Kohler.
After each flush, the tank fills but the fill
Hi,
Usually the problem is dirt in the fill valve and not an adjustment problem...
depending on which valve you have it can be taken apart and cleaned out... just remember to turn off the water supply before taking the fill valve apart...
Slow refilling
I would diconnect the fill line and see if the rubber washer is ****-eyed.

Ok, you simply need to get another, any other length of chain, say like a Sink plug chain, any chain, will work. and attach it however you can. Binding, Glue, whatever it takes. It's only a method of attachment, one can even use a length or strong Copper Wire. As long as you can make it "Connect" with each end. it is NOT critical, in it's action. or how it is attached. As related as long as you can get it to function, it is really irrelevant, what you use, or how you attach it. As long as it works, you can use whatever it take to do so. So now, go forth and fix your cistern...

Is there water going in the overflow tube. If so you need to lower the float 1/2 inch. If there is no water going in the over flow then the fill valve is going bad on you and you need to replace. You can get one at your local hardware store for around $10.00

You can try adding a thin layer of Patroleum Jelly to the post that the float rides on. If you have hard water problems...check to make sure there's no hard water build up on the post as well.

Cimarron K-11451-0 4 months old - doesn't flush
A common problem. You have a partial blockage. If you have a plunger then you may be able to force the blockage out by filling up the bowl near to the top with warm water (not hot as this may crack the toilet) and then plunge down several times until the blockage disappears. If you do not have a plunger use an empty 2litre or 80oz coke or plastic bottle, with the tope securely screwed on to maintain the rigidity of the bottle, so it will neatly fit the toilet cavity at the bottom without damaging the toilet.
Toilet keeps running even when manually lifting floater to max
check handle to ensure no tension is on the flapper chain when not being flushed. check flapper to ensure positive seal to flush valve. check water level to ensure not overflowing into flow valve. if that's the case, lower water height.
then if still doesn't work, change flapper,
all else fails, change flush valve.
good luck,
steve
When you flush, sometimes it flushes fine, and
Make sure the flapper is holding water in tank. if it is leaking, then when you go to flush there is not enough of water to flush. to check for leaking flapper, take a pack of kool-aid and dump it into tank of toilet. dont flush toilet. let set for 10-15 mins. if the flapper is leaking, the color of kool-aid will show up in bowl. hope this helps.
My toilet runs constantly
How old is the toilet? Might have lime buildup in the housing that's keeping the float from raising completely. The whole assembly is relatively inexpensive at Wal-Mart, and very easy to change. It would probably be less hassle than trying to fix the old one. I found that out after wasting a lot of time trying to mix my old one. :-)
