There is no oil reservoir - the gearcase is what holds the oil. You should not have to add oil - if the tool is leaking and becomes low on oil it needs a service kit. There is no oil filler hole - you have to open the gearcase up (#873) to put oil in. If your hammer is leaking and losing oil you should put a service kit in it and fresh oil. They are filled with a special grease that comes from Bosch. It sounds like the impact bolt or the striker pin in the unit are not moving the way they should. These are the pieces that work together to create the hitting action. About all that can be done now is the unit has to be dismantled to get those to pieces moving again. Bosch makes what they call service packs for all thier hammers. They have all the o-rings and grease to get your hammer working again. A Bosch service center can supply you with the kit. Not all bits for hammer drills are the same as the slots in the sides of the shanks are different between makes . There is a standard between hilti and ramset drill bits but other makers have different ideas Check out the shanks of your drill bits and look for the slot that holds in the bit.

The best way is to find a Bosch service center and get the oil change kit. P/N 1615437511 this comes with a small bottle of oil and a top cover gasket. All you do is remove the top cover dump out the old oil and pour in the whole bottle of the new stuff. Couldn't be more simple.
