The video also shows you how to perform basic maintenance on your roller brush to prolong the life of the belt as long as possible. First Shut off all electric power to the motor, whether by turning off a circuit breaker or removing fuses from the disconnect switch or simply unplugg the vacuum.
Remove the wiring cover on the electric motor and set aside the screws.
All single-phase 115-volt and 230-volt motors have two wire leads that connect to the power supply.
Remove the plastic wire connectors that connect to the power supply.Turn your ohm meter to the ohm setting. The meter should read OL (open lead) or zero ohms.

Touch one lead to the case of the motor, and test each motor lead. The ohm meter should read OL, or zero ohms. If a reading of any ohms is observed, you may have a direct short in the motor windings; the motor may be bad.

If your confidant you can test the motor with live current, check the leads at the motor connections while the unit is plugged in and see if your getting between 110 and 120 volt at the motor connection, if you are and the motor is not working then the motor is bad. If not then the problem lies upstream in the power cord or switch

Look at the serial #. Disregard the first number. The next two represent the year, the next two the month, and the next two the day. The last three are the daily sequence.
Example: 5021203456, would be the 456th machine finished on Dec. 3, 2002.

Check the power button switch, it is often cause vacuum to shut off. Thus cutting current flow into the vacuum circuit. Also check the cord for intermittent connection. The cord is subjected to bent, twist and other abuse action while vacuum is in use.

If you have plush carpet, the brushes on the vacuum may be catching on the carpet, causing the belt to slip, overheat and break.

If the vacuum has a height adjustment, try adjusting it to a setting which lifts it higher off the carpet.

It comes with many attachments.
