Karcher pressure washer
most likely motor or pump overheated and seized or burnt out remove cover to the unit and test for motor operation
Used 2 hours now nothing checked all fuses.
Check the power cord from the end where you plug it in all the way to where it wires into the switch and check the switch also! They are notorious for going out! Best of luck!
Kacher machine K2.98
So when you are using the machine & keeping the trigger pulled open the machine builds up to pressure then knocks off all the time.
If this is so the machine is not at fault & is doing what it is meant to do & protect its self from over pressuring & the fault is in the nozzles you are using.
You need to check the nozzle size is correct for the machine & also airline the nozzle to clear of any dirt.
Thanks qwashers
Dosent run after plugged in to power. motor seems to be frozen
Two potential problems, notwithstanding complete failure, faulty cord, faulty plug, faulty electrical outlet. All of the above need elimination before attempting the following:
1.) A faulty on/off switch. You will need a multimeter to test for continuity. Not a task for those not competent.
2.) Faulty control head which is not telling the motor to turn on. A valve is stuck in the head and the machine does not know that you want to use it.It thinks that you have triggered off and has stopped. Probably a job for a specialist. Definitely not a job to tackle without a spare parts breakdown.
Please, everyone.....
DO NOT MUCK AROUND WITH ELECTRICITY IF YOU ARE NOT COMPETENT.

Bearings are standard, If you can remove the bearing, take it to any bearing supplier and they will give you the requires bearing. Specify that you want a 2RS bearing, one that has rubber seals on both sides of the race if the original one was not like this. (Look for signs like SKF, Fafnir, Timken, etc. There are also numerous Japanese and Chinese makes, but in a wet application, rather go for one of the others mentioned).

Normally when you dry run a machine you damage the pump so it would probably need changing. The motor might be Ok but for you to fix it you will need to take it to a Karcher dealer/service center.
From experiance it sometimes can be more cost efficient to purchase a new Karcher machine and get the 12 month warranty than spending money on an older machine.

you will have to take the cover off & look for melted wires or a fuse.
if there is no fuse the capacitor may have been cooked.
it should be a white cylinder.if it has been damaged it will have burn marks and may be swollen.

The machine leak water from inside, and it does
hi,
make sure everything is clean;the inlet screen etc. Take a flashlight and look inside were the hose connects and make sure nothing is inside. To do a simple test;connect the hose, turn on the water, and WITHOUT starting the pressure washer, squeeze the trigger on the gun;you should have a steady stream of water coming out, about the same as a kids water gun;like a super soaker; If not, then your problem is something is restricting the water inlet,or if the washer is old, mineral deposits inside a passage. If it does squirt out pretty good, then your washer is tired,or you used a cleaner that's NOT compatible with pressure washer seals,or maybe the unloader is stuck, and won't allow the washer to build pressure...........If it's getting a good supply of water, the only thing that builds pressure is the seals, and the unloader.Other than that, there is a small passage were the outlet is,and that could be restricted with mineral deposits, but I would take apart the hose and check for debris in the line,to be sure Hope this helps!!

Washer surges when trigger pulled
Check that your are getting proper water pressure. Also check filter going into the machine where the hose connects sounds like the washer is not getting enough water pressure.
It will not start.
It was
It is not clear what type of machine this is you are having trouble with but I would guess it is not a chainsaw but a pump like a pressure washer pump.
Pressure washers today are very picky about what goes in them. If it was just water you may have corrosion in the pump. especially if it is an aluminum housing. It is never recommended to run harsh chemicals through the pumps. Briggs and Stratton makes a pump saver recommended for storing your pump. You can purchase this pump saver or parts for your machine through dealers such as www.arcolawn.com.
If you can reply with the type of machine and any numbers you can find I would be happy to assist further.
Thank you

Turn on-off switch to on and unit hums, motor does
From what you have explained it sounds like the capacitor for the motor is bad. The capacitor is what gives the motor the extra kick to get up and moving when you flip the machne on.
To fix the problem you are going to have to replace the bad capacitor that you have, the part number that you need is 66611960, price is $30.77. If you are interesting I can get you one, send me a email at
