Why does my clutch unscrews when i start the chainsaw?

You should never under any circumstances run the saw with the bar, chain and brake not connected, the clutch is a left hand thread and self tightening, run the saw at full revs and put the brake on, this will tighten the clutch.

Chain oiler for poulan 2300 seems to dump all the oil out at once within minutes of usage

there is a seal between the pump and the case if that seal fell or wore out it will drain out of there

I can't keep the tension on the blade tight.

Check threads on tension bolt may be worn or adjuster threads that bolt screws into may b worn. Odd thing is if bar plate is tight bar should not move.

Poulan 446t Will start, won't continue to

The diaphragm in the carb is likely ruined from the gas gelling onto it. This will put pinholes in it and then it won't work properly. Pick up a carb kit and rebuild it (if parts available) and then you should be good to go. If you can't rebuild the carb, a replacement will run you 30 bucks or more.

To much oil comes out of the chain oiler

Look for an oil volume adjustment screw located near the lower chain run, but on the main case rear or maybe underneath the case in the same area. Turn the screw CW to decrease flow. Remove the bar and chain to make sure the small oil passages in the drive end of the bar are not plugged. When everything is back together, run the saw tip near some cardboard at speed for a moment or two. It should throw off a thin line of oil onto the board. Hope this helps!
