To adjust the automatic oil flow, Turn the chainsaw upside down. Turn the screw marked with a "+" or "-" toward the "+" sign. If too much oil is present turn the screw toward the "-" sign. The gap for all Poulan chainsaws, regardless of the spark plug used, is .025.

The gas oil ratio on all Poulan models is 40:1. First, I recommend a synthetic oil mix if you can find it and also recommend running a 93 octane gasoline. Second, I would mix no more than 1 gallon at a time, unless you are doing a lot of cutting. Gas/Oil mixtures do not last that long. I don't give them more than a month, and generally try to run any mixture within 2 weeks. Think about it, gas cam gum up on it's own when let sitting for too long. Imagine what it can do with oil mixed in it. Good luck with your saw, and be careful when cutting.

First and foremost ppb330 is a model number for a grass line trimmer, gas model. Second, I am unsure what you are asking. Gap coil?? Do you need the spark plug gap for your chainsaw? That gap is .025. I hope this helps. If not, please re-post with the correct model number for you chainsaw.

Short side of primer bulb to the carb and long side of the primer buld to the fuel tank as it's the return line.

Sounds like carbon may have broken loose as is lodged between the piston and the cylinder wall.

Use a cheap spark checker to check for spark. To check for fuel issue, squirt some carb cleaner down carb and see if it hits. If it does, you know you have spark and the problem is in the fuel supply.

Starter pawl and/or pawl spring.

Adjust the low side out another quarter turn first before messing with the idle screw.

First start with the initial settings on both low and high side. They need to be 1 full turn out and the idle is set so that the throttle plate just starts to move.
