Continental CE-PAC1062 Air Conditioner Questions & Answers
115 volt equals how many btu
Apples and oranges.
The 115 volts tells what "quantity" of electricity is needed to run the unit.
BTU's are the cooling capacity of the unit, which usually is about 5,000 for the smallest, up to about 18,000 for the largest.
Over 18,000 the electricity quantity is often boosted to 220 volts because of the larger size of the unit.
Short in plug in cord
If it is the plug itself, you can find a replacement at any hardware store. If you need a new cord, that might be hard to find, but hardware stores have extension wires; just cut off the female end. By the way, if it is the plug you also need to replace the receptacle.
