Sounds like a "Brush" problem or either an incomplete power connection to the dievce. Does this tool have replaceable brushes? If so. that is probabvle the problem

Depends what the salt is on, you could damage the surface.

There was a tool that came with the dremel, if you don't have it see Home Depot for a replacement.

Have you tried changing the bushings. These are located inside the screw looking pieces. There are usually one on each side and these can be purchased at Lowes. If this doesn't work, then the motor is most likely burned up. The bushings are easy to replace just unscrew and the old will fall out and sit the new in and screw the cap back on.

The name the " bolt" is the collet nut and/or the collet nut assembly. If you kept the guide that came with the tool it will give you the part number and an address that you can order parts from. Could possibly be dust on the bushings. Try giving a good blow out with compressed air. Possibly try to clean the bushings. If it whines, it could also be jammed in the impact housing(where the mechanism vibrates).

Try using the correct collet size

Look at the clogged teeth on the blade. Copper does that. Use a pair of tin snips.

There is a coupling between the drive motor and the chuck. You will need to take the tool apart to replace it. E-bay has these.

The flashing light indicates an error, possibly your battery is shot or malfunctioning. New battery needed.
