Sounds to me as though the internal switch on the top of the cylinder could defective. (located in an upright position near the rear of the chamber) I'd recommend replacing it. If you feel up to it, the job's a bit fiddly and time consuming or, you can take it to a repair center.

This is awkward to diagnose. Sounds like a gas problem. Ensure the gas cell is in date. paslode print use by date on bottom. next ensure valve fitted to cell is correct normally yellow. When stopped firing press gas cell door (actuator) does it fire one more time? If yes it could be the actuator getting weak I have seen this cause similar problems to what you are experiencing.

Phone the company they will tell you where your nearest dealer is that could supply a spare part. If you state the model number ( I don't have access to part numbers at present) I could inform you how much it would be from the company where I work.

go to Paslode.com and you can download a manual that shows the spring. It sits in a recess under the follower that pushes the nails

you can try going to paslode.com and downloading a breakdown of this tool. The lockout bar and spring go under the metal plate on the side where the pusher spring is. You have to remove the nose piece (2 screws) and lift the metal plate. Towards the bottom there is a slot that the spring goes in and as you are holding the spring push on the back side and lay the lockout bar in place. Replace the metal plate and hold in place to ensure these parts more freely. Reassemble tool. Let me know if you need more assistance.

Hi Dave, do you have more details? How exactly does it not work? Just won't fire? You might just have to send it to a Paslode certified repair center. But we might be able to help here if you can provide more details.

Try taking it apart and cleaning it. If that doesn't work, it doesn't sound like a DIY fix kind of problem...I'd send it in to a service center. Here's an article with videos about how to clean your Paslode finish nailer. If cleaning doesn't work, these guys are also a Paslode repair center.
