DeLonghi DDE40E Dehumidifier Questions & Answers
E3 is flashing on display panel
Calling two service centers, they both indicated that the main circuit board needed replacing. This would need shipping the unit!!, part and then labor. I figured over $120 - not reasonable. I then took the unit apart and followed the wires from the compressor to the back of the unit. This is where the moisture sensor was located - upper left. You'll see this when you take the filter off. Anyway, I cleaned the face of this part with a old toothbrush, used some compressed air to remove any dust. I then followed the wires with the black sleeve that went to what I think is a temperature sensor - also on the left. The wires go to a sensor that is pushed into a copper tube that is part of the cooling tubing. Gently pull this out, wipe it down and re-install.
I then plugged the unit in, set the humidity level and it now works. I just put the unit back together and the compressor is turning on and collecting moisture! I will run it a few days and keep checking on it to make sure it doesn't go into the 'E3' Mode.
By the way, the repair shops I called really didn't have a clue what the E3 code was.

Just wanna know how to set the temperature on it
dehumidifiers do not have a temperature control, rather, they have a humidity control. usually you set the humidity control to go off when the level of moisture in the room reaches normal (approx. 25-35% winter;38-55% summer). Best way is to run it at full on for 1 to 4 days (until you know the moisture level is how you want it), then turn the knob until the unit goes off . This will be the ideal setting. Goodluck<Macgivor
What does an E3 reading
"E3" code the condensor sensor is bad.It has to be checked and replaced.
E3 error message which apparently means the air is working and it has internal frost. It then stops cooling the air and waits for
itself to defrost.
Thanks.

My delonghi dem 10 dehumidifier is working and collecting water but but the pause is continuously flashing why is this
The flashing pause light on your DeLonghi dehumidifier indicates that the unit is in a defrost cycle. During this time, the compressor shuts off and the fan continues to run in order to thaw any ice that may have formed on the coils. This process typically lasts for 10-15 minutes before the unit resumes normal operation.
If the pause light continues to flash even after the defrost cycle is complete, it may indicate a problem with the unit's sensor or control board. In this case, it is recommended to consult the user manual or contact a professional for assistance with troubleshooting and repairs.

DELONGHI DH300P E3
The E3 Code, indicates that the air intake filter needs to be removed and cleaned. Be sure the unit is OFF and unplugged before removing the filter. Filter cleaning should be performed at least once every two weeks, as part of Routine Maintenance.

My DeLonghi DEM10 wont power on any more - like fuse gone
The tank may be full. Your dehumidifier has a safety device that turns off the dehumidifier when the water tank is full. Usually the tank itself either presses against a switch or there's a device connected to the tank that triggers a switch when the tank is in place and full.
If you've emptied the tank and the unit doesn't run, inspect the place where the tank rests to see if there's a switch or mechanism that's not being activated. You may be able to turn it on with a simple flick of your finger.

Good morning.
I have a DeLonghi
Are you worried as to why there is no Water in the Water Tank/Bucket at all?
Well, a few operational basics must be understood by you please.
For the unit to remove moisture from the air and draw water into the bucket/tank, the set relative humidity (%RH) must be below the current or ambient room relative humidity.
Attempt to lower or reduce the setting you have to a lower value and it should start collecting water in the tank.
Hope this helps
