The belt hangs or slips. Makes noise.

Lubrication may not be the issue, belt tension could cause the slipping at the end of the unit their is 2 tension bolts. 1/4 turn clock wise on these bolts will increase belt tension, start with 2 quarter turns on each bolt then start unit and proceed to walk on it, see if slipping has stopped. If not repeat procedure only turning the bolt 1 1/4 turn at a time until until proper tension is achieved. If the unit need lubrication then us a tube of clear silicone which you can purchase from Landice,

I have a Landice L7 treadmill and it will turn on and start moving all by itself without pressing start.

Hello, it is either the control board or the overlay. I would think it is probably the start button on the overlay that is stuck. The solution is to replace the overlay.

My Landice L7 treadmill for home use races to speed when I turn it on. I cannot control the speed, it just increases automatically to top speed.

There could be a few different things causing your Landice L7 treadmill to race to top speed when turned on. Here are some potential causes and solutions:
  1. Motor Control Board: The motor control board may be malfunctioning and sending the treadmill into top speed automatically. If this is the case, you will need to replace the motor control board.
  2. Console Board: The console board may be sending incorrect signals to the motor control board, causing the treadmill to race to top speed. If this is the case, you will need to replace the console board.
  3. Speed Sensor: The speed sensor may be malfunctioning and sending incorrect signals to the motor control board. If this is the case, you will need to replace the speed sensor.
  4. Calibration: The treadmill may be out of calibration, causing it to race to top speed. To recalibrate the treadmill, consult your owner's manual for instructions.
It's recommended to consult with a qualified technician to diagnose and fix the issue to avoid causing further damage or injury.

Landice L7 Problems. It runs fine until drops below 2 miles per hour and then it stops for 2 or 3 seconds and starts back up for 2 or 3 seconds.

It sounds like you normal routine has made the motor hot and then when you slow down the residual heat is causing the motor to cut out. Check the vents in the motor for fluff or blockage. https://www.google.com/search?q=Landice+L7+treadmill+stopping+at+cool+down ..

How do I replace the speed sensor on the Landice L9 pro sports cardio trainer?

the speed sensor is in the front drive wheel. it is a sensor located on the left-hand side you will see a wire going to the sensor. then a magnet is on the wheel and when it passes by you get your speed. I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/howard_079189dd4959a511

I have had a Landice L8 for many years and it works well. Now it simply comes on by itself. I turn it off and it comes back on. I tried unplugging it but when I plug it in it just comes on again.

is this a home model and did you buy originally? the reason I ask is that Landice home L8 models have a lifetime parts warranty. contact Landice and they will be able to assist you over the phone for free. you either need a new keyboard panel(bad buttons), or a new lower computer board. both easy fixes on a Landice I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/howard_079189dd4959a511

OS or O5 Error on Landice L-Series Treadmills

Probable Cause

An OS or O5 error on the Landice L-Series treadmills, such as the L7, L8 and L9, indicates an over speed condition and this occurs when the actual speed of the running belt is faster than the set speed. The possible causes for an overspeed, OS or O5, error are: A) User weight is over 200lbs, treadmill elevation is set between 10% and 15% grade and speed is set between .5 mph and 3 mph B) User is pushing against treadmill belt causing it to go faster than the set speed C) Defective lower board or misaligned speed sensor D) Maladjusted speed potentiometer

Corrective Action

A) Gravitational force will enable the user's weight to move the treadbelt faster than the set speed. The speed sensor will pick up this increase in flywheel speed and sends this information up to the display electronics. The microprocessor will then compare the actual speed to the displayed speed, determine a runaway speed condition and shut the treadmill down. An overspeed will display in the window. This is a safety feature built into all treadmills that utilize closed loop speed circuitry. The way to address an over speed condition due to gravity is have the user decrease elevation below 10% or increase the speed. B) Similar to the gravitational force, a user can be holding onto the handrails and pushing the running belt in such a manner where they are using the treadmill like a manual machine rather than a motorized one. User needs to set speed compatible for their actual walking or jogging speed so they are not pushing the belt. C) It's possible a blown motor control board is the problem. This occurs more frequently with PWM drives than SCR drives. However, this problem is becoming rare due to the PWM circuitry which senses this condition and shuts itself down before the drive motor receives any DC voltage at all. This means you'll get an LS or L5 error if your PWM is blown, not an OS or O5 error. This is a safety feature on all Landice home treadmills with PWM motor control boards. The SCR motor control boards also have internal protection to prevent an over speed condition from occuring due to an internal component failure. In the rarest of cases, on home treadmills, a faulty relay board can cause an OS or O5. To verify this, using a digital voltmeter, with treadmill turned on, measure the DC voltage between the V+ and P1 on the PWM board. The reading should be between 6-7 VDC. Also measure the DC voltage between P1 and P2 on the PWM board. The reading should be between 0.5 VDC and 6-7 VDC. If either of these voltages measure zero, replace the relay board. D) Get into Open Loop Speed mode and check the speed. Adjust pots as necessary to bring up correct speed for max and min.

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you SAFETY SHUTDOWN Loss of Speed Signal" or "L5" WITH belt movement This is usually an indication of a speed control malfunction. The upper board is not recognizing a signal pickup from the speed sensor. This could be due to the speed sensor being misaligned, improper connection, or bad speed sensor. Refer to the flowchart on page "SAFETY SHUTDOWN Loss of Speed Signal" or "L5" WITH NO belt movement The speed sensor is not recognizing any motor movement. This displays the error message to the upper board. NOTE: USE THIS FOR DIAGNOSING THE PWM/RELAY COMBO BOARD
