Tread mill wont turn on.
Dear Sir:
Thank you by your problem, I will help you inmediately.
Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor
is plugged into a properly grounded outlet . Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor
that is UL 1449 listed as a transient voltage surge suppressor (TVSS). The surge suppressor
must have a UL suppressed voltage rating of 400 volts or less and a minimum surge dissipation
of 450 joules. The surge suppressor must be electrically rated for 120 volts AC and 15 amps.
Important: The treadmill is not compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets.
2)After the power cord has been plugged in, make sure that the key is fully inserted into the console.
3)Check the circuit breaker located on the treadmill
near the power cord. If the switch protrudes as
shown, the circuit breaker has tripped. To reset the
circuit breaker, wait for five minutes and then press
the switch back in.
4)Check the on/off switch located on the treadmill
near the power cord. The switch must be in the on
position.
I hope you resolve this. Otherwise, try to reach me. Inmediately.
sincerely.

I have a NordicTrack Elite
This is more than likely a loose drive belt, which would explain the slipping as well as the sound. To tighten this take off the plastic cover that covers the motor. You will see where the motor connects to the front roller with the drive belt. To tighten it there are two bolts that hold the motor to the machine, loosen those then pull it tight and retighten them, This should eliminate the problem.

If no distance goal was set, this display will show the distance that you have pedaled, in total revolutions. If a distance goal was set, the display will show the distance still to be pedaled during your workout.

Belt goes full speed when started the shuts off thats it
Hello there. This is usually a problem with the control pwb. The controller is what tells the motor how fast to run.
This item is available @ iconservice.com.
Locate your model number before going to the site. This is located on the lower frame (under the walk belt) or on your users manual. Once you have that you may go to the replacement parts section of the site and look for the controller.
Repair Procedure,
To locate this item you will need to access the motor area. Usually 3 or 4 screws on the rear of the unit on the opposite side of the walk belt. If the cover does not come off after those screws are removed then u will need to access under the bottom of the cover area to remove 2 more screws. This is done by tilting the machine on its side.
After removing the cover you will see the control pwb. (silverish with a circuit board) There will be a number of connectors on the controller. I suggest either taking a digital picture or writing down the wiring going to the board as to not mis-wire something when re-installing the controller. Remove the wires and there will be 2 screws holding the controller in place, remove them as well. After reinstalling the controller in the reverse procedure as above be sure to calibrate the unit. (directions should be located in the box)
Good Luck! Tim
