Electrolux EW1000i Front Load Washer - Page 7 Questions & Answers
Zanussi Electrolux ZWF 1430 W (E20 error)
I'm fairly sure that this is a warning that the filter is blocked. There is a filter in the bottom right hand corner of the machine.
Now, as stated by the other user here, your problem is that you have a machine full of water and if you remove the filter, you are going to get a very wet floor. The trick here is:
Turn the power off at the mains and remove the plug from the wall. Wait ten minutes. This SHOULD power off the safety feature that allows you to open the front load door.
Presuming it does, pull the machine out if it is under a work surface and taking great care because of the weight, tip tha machine backwards until the water level is below the door (Having a chair or a box to rest the back of the machine on is a good plan here, so you don't tip it beyond about 45% and have it fall on ots back.
If the door will open, then you can now rescue any clothes and bale out the water with a cup. Once you gave got to all the water you can (Memember there is still more waqter out of sight and in the pipe going to the filter!) You can now tip the machine back a little further until the water is clear of the filter in the botton right of the machine.
NOW, you can take the filter out, remove the fliff, couns, old sock and other debris clogging it and screw it back in place. TIp the machine back on to its feet and put it back.
Now, make a note in your diary to check the filter ever 6-8 weeks or so. Once you have done a few check and cleans, you will figure out how oftem you need to clean the filter, which depends on what you wash and how much you wash it.
Getting E10 error coming up
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I'm not sure if this is a solution but it's worth trying anyway!
If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C

I need to replace the main bearing and cannot undo
Hope i not to late for answer. The bolt that holds large sheve, pully, is your normal SAE course thread, not left. Now then there are 2 bearings inner and outer just like a car, truck. Most likely u need to replace both. I have got that to that problem myself and my question is this, Are the inner and outter races able to beremoved from housing or is the bearing holder one piece that has to be cut outbecause of pitting, scaring of bearings that tumbled around with no grease because the factory did not inject any grease to cause bearing to fail. Canu make any sense of this anyone, anywhere.
