Possible that the main controller board has hung up or there is a memory fault. Remove power to the washer for some hours and try. If you notice any moisture within use a dryer to clear, You need to remove the cover and get access to the main board. Also check and drain filters, if clogged the function will not end and it can show this symptom. Finally check water flow and door switch connectivity.
Good Afternoon Vicky, thank you for your post!
Based on the symptoms you are describing, you may either
have a communication error from the main control board or the timer itself may
not be operating correctly. If you noticed a humming noise, it could either be
a clogged drainage hose or pump that needs to be cleaned, or it could possibly
have another issue with the door lock assembly. I would personally contact a
professional to accurately diagnose the washer to determine the root cause to
reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.
Hello Chad, I am happy to assist you. Often when a unit does
not complete a cycle, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose
of the water and detergent solution. Since the unit is making a humming noise,
there is a possibility that the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to
be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the
door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating
correctly. The burnt smell can be due to a faulty potential wiring failure.
Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would
recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.
Good Afternoon Patricia, if I'm understand correctly you are
seeking an Owner's Guide for your washer. If so, may I please have the model
number? The serial tag is typically located on the upper front, as you open the
door. With this information I can better assist you. However, if you prefer you
may also visit the Frigidaire website, which is the sister company of
Electrolux. Thank you and I look forward to your response.
Hello Patricia, I am happy to assist you.
·If you've
double-checked the drawer and it is closed, remove the drawer and examine the
magnet. If the magnet is missing or defective, the magnet probably needs
replacing.
·If the magnet is
fine and in place, an experienced technician may need to examine the reed
switch or main control board.
Since there are cost differences in parts and accessories,
it is always a good idea to have a service tech properly diagnose your
appliance. I hope this information helps in some degree.

Hello app_3rp71756, thank you for your question! You may try
and reset the washer by disconnecting the power to the unit for up to ten
minutes by flipping the circuit breaker off and back on. Is the washer making a
humming noise? If so, either the drain hose or pump is clogged and needs
cleaning. Other possibilities are: experiencing an issue with the door lock
assembly, faulty control board, timer/pump, damaged cord, and a potential
wiring failure. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying
caused, I would recommend reaching out to an expert to properly diagnose and
repair the unit.
E20 is difficulties in draining for washing. which can be drain tube kinked or blocked, drain filter clogged or dirty or the pump impeller behind filter is getting jammed by a coin or cotton or anything wrapped around it, remove filter and look at back of hole and see if impeller will turn use a long screwdriver to turn it, obviously with the power off
Good Morning Deanna - Sounds like you are speaking about the
Coin Trap. Below are some basic troubleshooting steps you may wish to follow to
clean the trap:
·Unplug the unit.
·Remove the bottom
front access panel. There are two screws one on right and one on the left
towards the bottom of the front panel.
·Now that the
panel is removed look inside on the bottom right hand side there is a black
looking accordion thing. This is the coin trap.
·Clean the drum
out with as much water as possible that you can remove and have towels ready.
The next step you will have the remaining water come out of the bottom of the
drum and onto the floor.
·At the top of the
coin trap where it is attached to the drum is a silver spring with a silver
screw. Loosen the screw and wiggle the coin trap down from the drum.
·Reach inside the
coin trap and clean what is inside of it out.
·Put the unit back together following the same steps backwards.
Hope this information proves to be helpful!
Hello terry_gwen - Based on the symptoms you are describing, you may either have a communication error from the main control board or the timer itself may not be operating correctly. Hello Nigel Gastall - Regrettably, this is not a simply DIY job. Generally, qualified technicians often perform these complicated part replacements. Usually this type of information is not released to a consumer due to liability and safety purposes and very rare to find enough information to do it yourself. If I was in your position, I would personally suggest contacting a professional to accurately assist with the repair or installation of the part.
