Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/ http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

My TV isn't displaying sound or picture, how do I fix this?

Assuming your PS is fine then I would look at the main board since it works with the audio and video signals. The T con board is video specific and you have backlighting. So..............

VIZIO E601i-A3 has a blinking screen or i could say a pulsing screen when i turn on the black-light in the settings. When Black light is off no pulsing. Is it the T-Con card.

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Lip sync

Vizio HDTV- Lips out of sync

Anyone with a new Vizio E601i-A3 60" or 70" HDTV that is having audio "Lips out of sync problems" with a cable or satellite box.

On Comcast cable boxes (or others), here's what you need to do: FIND MENU for AUDIO or HDMI setup on CABLE BOX or Satellite Box.

FOR COMCAST

1. Turn on TV and have Cable box Turned OFF.

2. Press MENU on COMCAST REMOTE.

3. Go to AUDIO Setting OR HDMI Setting. (On cable or Sat. BOX)

4. Change setting from Auto to L-PCM. (Turn off cable box to exit)

This should resolve any "out of sync" lips to picture after commercials on HD channels.

*This is a handshaking issue from the cable box to the Vizio E601i-A3

Delay in lighting from dark to light scenes and then back.

Look for auto-contrast or something. Turn it off. Picture will be steady. I hate this feature in most flat panel tv's and it's not needed. You may have to set static contrast after that.
