This monitor may not have built-in speakers. It may have supported Gateway's monitor mounted sound bar. That sound bar connected to the 3.5 mm audio out on a computer and a DIN port on the monitor. No you don't need a driver. These are very plain powered speakers that come with a mains adapter and a lead with a 3.5mm stereo jack at both ends.
