Take your time and be firm with the pressure you apply to the screw, while holding it with a pliers. Hi/ You can use thr cord on eater modles

Usual reason for this is that the water temp is not high enough. With many coffee products it is reccomended a temp of atleast 170 to 180 with 180 being ideal. Check the temp of the water to see what it is at and repost. Hope this helps. WWW.MidstateBeverage.com

Hi. You have a 12 cup China.The heating element is broken. On the China poy you have to replace the body of the pot because the heating element is weilded to the pot. I sell the body for 8.00 plus S/H 3.00. Good luck bobbyone [email protected]

Hi. If you have a pot that calls for a 3 wire cord, you are almost out of luck. You can not buy one. The only cord that will fit , (if it is adjusted) is the same cord that you have on your PC, everything fits but you have to dig a little trench on the part that goes into the pot Take a good long look at the part that goes into the pot and you will see what has to be done. Hi Sharon. ALL Farberware coffee pots make racket. You have a pot that is made in China. When the water is hot the noise stops and it goes into keepwarm mode. As long as your water is hot 175 to 185 it is good. If you were trying to make coffee and you are not perking through the basket is another case.When you want to make coffee you MUST use the cone spring in the pump.That keeps the pump tight so the hot water goes up the pump. The fuse pops if there is no water in it, I need to know if you have a pot made in the USA or china. The fuse is 8.00 plus 2.00 S/H.

The K W element is very a easy fix, it is the small looking white rope that runs around the bottom of the pot. You have 1-nut and 1- screw to remove. When removing the screw from the main element you must hold the (leg) that the K W element is screwed to so it does not bend and brake off. Take your time and be firm with the pressure you apply to the screw, while holding it with a pliers. You will know the KW is working,if left alone and pluged in the water gets hot and hotter

Hi. Start with 2 scoops for every 4 cups of coffee, Then adjust from there, until you get the taste that you like.

You have a China pot. Take the center screw out of the base, Pry it apart very slowley . The pot has 2 or 3 wires that go to thee main heating element. you will need a neddle nose pliers.Detach the wires on the main unit and you will be able to work on the base. Parts are available on eBay

check the bottom of the tube that holds the coffee basket....there is a "washer like" piece on the bottom. Make sure it is clean and moves freely, or the coffee won't percolate properly. I had the same problem and that fixed it
