LG KC910 Renoir Cell Phone - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Hi All
There are variations from brand to brand and even from device to device of the same brand/model. Try turning on the "GSM only" in Network/SIM card settings.
If you have purchased from a local retail store of an authorized dealer, I hope you should have to have the correct radio version relevant to your area.
Try updating if there are any. If it is still under warranty, claim for an exchange.
Otherwise, you could try installing a different and correct firmware for your region using various methods(There are plenty, google will help)
Hope you're satisfied with the answer

Deleted photos from memory card
When you format any storage device- be it on your computer, cell phone, mp3 player, etc. it really means it will be restored to its original state before you put anything on it. Sadly, once you click on the format command, you have wiped everything off your memory card and there is no way to retreive your photos and videos. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
My touch screen is not working properly?
Go into "settings", then "touch screen" options and recalibrate. If the calibration is too far off, you may be able to "walk" it back by touching a point between the crosshairs and where you estimate the phone *thinks* you're touching. Repeat several times and eventually you should be able to press directly on the crosshairs. You may want to consider using a thin (yet blunt) stylus to press perform the screen calibration for the last time to be sure you're right on the mark.
LG KC 910 Renoir how do I set up for GPS working
the gps on my renoir works fine with orange maps , couldnt get it to work for a while though but seemed to sort itself out, does take a fairly long time to get the positioning but once it found the satellites it worked no problem at all gave me directions to my house... havent used it since but it did take about maybe 15 minutes to find the signal u have to be patient
Can GPS be instaled in
yes u can
You'll need to pre-install maps onto it first. Be aware that you should
do this at a PC, then use the USB connection to copy them across to
avoid costly data charges.
In terms of charges for GPS the Renoir has 2 settings - Stand alone GPS
and AGPS (assisted GPS). Basically, stand alone works exactly like a Tom
Tom - link is made directly to GPS satellites with no data charges but
it takes time to link up and refresh details.
AGPS uses your network's towers to link directly with GPS satalites
through your mobile network. It differs from network to network but you
will incur data charges using it this way. I'd recommend a data bolt on
if you plan on using AGPS as it can be pricey.
To switch between modes, go to Settings, Connectivity, GPS type and select the one you want to use.
In terms of map software, you're best off googling Java GPS applications
- Way Finder is good and Google maps isn't too bad either, but it all
comes down to personal preference.
Not enough Memory, LG Renoir camera
From the settings menu, choose phone settings, then Memory Manager.then handset common memory. Chances are, this will nearly all be used up. Move any pictures, video, music etc from the internal memory to the external memory card using the My Stuff application, then move to external memory. This should solve the problem & any new photos will be stored on the external card. When theinternal memory gets full, the Renoir does funny things!!
