If you have an HP mini like the 1010nr, you may have only an 8GB solid-state "drive" the solution is to: 1) plug in a usb drive to a side port for extra space; or, 2) BETTER - pull off the cover on the right side to access the hidden USB port and install a permanent large-capacity usb memory module, then replace the cover. Hi, usually reboot from network error occurs when the computer cannot detect the hdd on the computer where the Ooperating system is installed. Try removing the ethernet cable when you restart the computer. And also remove any devices that is connected on the computer via USB. If problem still occurs. try to send the computer to a local technician to check the hdd on the computer for errors. If you have the right password then you should be able to get into the bios , it could happen that the password you are entering is a wrong one , therefore without displaying any warning to you the laptop is not going into the bios mode.

A good idea would be to check the caps key which you enter the password, try it one at time.

If you entered wrong password multiple times , it won't accept the real password for much time, so you need to wait at least for 15 minutes before retrying..

hi ' it does need to set it as obtain , but if you want to create an IP address click start botton-click control panel-click my network connection open network connection then right click - --- -- then click properties then type the address what you want then click sub mask and press apply/ok.

It's either a virus or a driver problem (most likely a virus). The best solution is to get a external usb cd rom drive, and install a fresh copy of windows back onto the system to ensure no issues.

Reboot means to restart it. If it really "full of viruses" as you say, don't even boot it; buy a new hard drive.

What that has told you is that the file pci.sys somehow got corrupted. It's possible it was being written to when the drop occurred. PCI is the bus system usually associated with hard drives and other add on devices so its not one you can ignore.

The problem and the solution are both a bit annoying. That file needs to be replaced. The easiest way would be to boot using a memory stick and then just copy a good file over. Then you have the option of doing a system restore or recovery. Unless you take it into a shop this may be your only option as you need to be able to match the file type/version etc. And it is quite possible that there are other files damaged as well. You just haven't got past the one error. The downside to this is that you may loose some documents and settings depending on how the restore or recovery version you have.

If you have the restoration CD that came woth the laptop, you just have to put that CD in, start your computer and when prompted boot from cd and start the system restore.

but I believe your talking about the certificate for microsoft, it should be on the bottom of your notebook, or in the enclosures of your manual or cd case.

NO , never, if the big laptop , is old NONE TOLD, and that huge battery is bad as most are old, I'd remove it and run on only the AC/DC power pack alone. laptops PCs have to have bad huge batteries even 1 year old abused. charger = AC/DC POWER PACK. The charger is actually deep inside the PC> (a chip by same name) no PC told but if you read the manual ,chapter recover, sure it many leave out details, they assume the PC is 100% hardware prefect and is only a dream of data only geeks.
