The H means you can access high speed internet. To turn it off, Settings>Connectivity>Mobile networks>GSM/3G networks>GSM only.

Seems like a known issue with the W902. Same here, dropped my w902 a few months back and the Walkman button and Volume up keys not workin now.

Walkman button not really an issue as you still can navigate to it via the menu system but no volume UP key is annoying. You can't increase volume especially when you volume it down. Power the w902 down and up, will reset volume to 6/10.

Solution: I came across a site where you can change volume without the volume up key.

1. Ensure you lock the phone (* and Contact key)

2. While holding down the disconnect button (the one that you switch the phone off) and camera button (on the right side, bottom button), pressing 7 will decrease volume while * key will increase volume.

You need to hold both button for 7 and * to work. Works great for me as I dont have to replace my phone, hope this help.

If the phone is setup so that it should switch between 2G and 3G and yet the phone does not switch there are a couple of likely causes first of which is the availability of the 3G network on your service provider. Most service providers have the 3G network only in certain areas try to confirm from your survice provider that the location is 3G supported.
secondly your phone might not have capacity to access the 3G network which is being broadcasted and auto + good 3G signal is circumstantial and therefore will determine how you receive. Auto comes first so the phone does auto and while doing auto finds 2G and sticks to it before even searching for 3G.
If you have the option of 3G + good auto option this will enable you get 3G better.

mines just recently stopped working tooo! its annoying! ive researched and need to buy a side button ribbon but they are too pricey man!!! but ive only had the phone a few months tooo so i dont wanna get rid of it this easy :( might have to buy it and tell someone fix it

The SIM is not what needs unlocked, it is the phone.

First take out the battery of the phone you're wanting to use. Locate on the sticker behind where the battery was the IMEI number.

Then, contact the company the Sony Ericsson was made to be used on. Their logo should be on the phone somewhere.

Provide them with the IMEI and they will give you the unlocking code and also how to input the code.

First you have to check settings.Check that flash is not on automatic mode.Select always on mode for the flash of your phone .After settings,if it not work then install new firmware in phone.

ye you need to purchasde one of these then get it fixed by someone. i had same problem! thats all the buttons covered even the side buttons and walkman button tooo

could you not try re-installing the software? with the cd you got there shoulda been an update software thing too! i use that to reinstall my phone with latest software and reset to manufactruring settings

Sir, it think its a Firmware problem. Just upgrade the Firmware using the phone's internet or PC Suite.

it is because your phone has become corrupted . it is not able to find RAM . Go to a nearby shop if it is under warranty it will cost you nothing if not still a very little cost will be needed to paid. person will connect your phone with his computer and change the software in 15min.  pls vote me thank you

Seems Battery is not fully charged. Try to charge battery using universal charger then try to switch on the phone.
