if it is only one color that cartridge is probly bad. if it were all the colors then it would be somethinfg else. i would try a new black cartridge

Sounds like an imaging unit problem. You need to replace your drum unit. Mike Computer Shop

Most likely you should check the 'door open switch', probably its broken.

Replace the imaging drum.

This is usually caused by the left over toner not being properly cleaned from the transfer belt. Open the printer front cover and close it. Wait for the printer to cycle. It usually make a little noise then stops. Then open the cover and close it again. Then print. If the first page of the print out is clean. but the next page you print has a shadow of the first page, then you have a a problem with the cleaning mechanism. Unfortunately the cleaner is part of the image transfer belt assembly which runs about $150 to $200. Unfortunately not terribly cost effective as compared to the original cost of many of these printers. Good Luck.

You should fan the paper before putting it into the tray.

ERROR IN THE DRUM CYCLE

My printer does not print unless I turn it off then turn it back on. It will then print only (1) thing. For each page I print, I have to first turn it off and turn it back on. I have a Samsung CLP-325W Color Laser Printer.

Dear Pl. setup samsung EASY PRINTER MANAGER or SMART PANEL, command a test print it will indicate the right problem with the printer. Mostly the exit sensor lever may not returned to it home position after getting the print out, so after one page printing it indicate error. Check the cable in the door. There is a cable that goes to the sensor in the door, it will come loose when the door is accidentally bumped loose and pulls the cable out of the socket. There are the two hinges on the ends, two guide posts, and a flat cover, the cable is under the cover.

The manual doesn't specifically state this but it appears that if the printer is connected to a wired LAN connection the wireless function will be disabled if the printer is set up in infrastructure mode. When I tried this the 'wireless' light turned off and I wasn't able to find the printer's WiFi SSID using a nearby netbook. If your goal, like mine, was to disable the printer's WiFi from transmitting to reduce extra WiFi noise then this seems to work. One of the wireless troubleshooting tips in the manual states to disconnect the wired connection before attempting to set up a wireless connection so it appears the two can't be used simultaneously. It seems odd that there's no specific "off" setting for wireless though. The printer will provide a WiFi connection when also connected to a wired LAN port if it is set up as part of an ad-hoc wireless network so make sure you set it to 'infrastructure' mode to disable WiFi.

Hi Harish and others,I didn't see all of the thread but:I have a clx3175fw which for now 3 months only have printed with smears, lines, and ghost-images from preceeding pages.shortly before trashing the printer because just getting a quote on fixing the printer in shipping whould be close to usd 150. Actual fixing price would probably be higher. If it hadn't been for the fact that I have a stash of toner and the usual consumables for the next 5 years of private use I would have trashed the printer!BUT: a guy called Michael Ionita (Austrian I think) posted this fix which I finally found via google. And it just worked like a charm. I think it took me less than 8 minutes to fix the printer. And now I know the drill I'd be able to do it en 3 minutes next time. My only comment to his instructions is as follows: where he states "Use a small white paper and try to stick it into the top - like shown": make sure you follow the angle of the glossy plastic from the back of the printer and upwards - AND: "trying" is not enough, you have to push it firmly to squeeze it up to where the toner residuance should be removed. No violance needed - just try harder until you see the paper is picking up toner - and you should be home free. Make shure you use paper that is within thickness limit for you printer. Second, you should turn your printer upside down and shake it gently, to make shure there is no obsticals inside. If nothing of this helps, you should try to clean the feed wheels gently, as dirt can cause paper jam, or make the wheels stop spinning.

I thought it is waste toner tank full.In this case opens the front cover where the black and color cartridges are located on the left side and is usually a white bottle is full transparent.Acesta probably be replaced by the residual toner an empty tank with new or old in care at a particular place (-toner powder is harmful for the body and environment)), then inserted in place

Sounds like a little piece of paper is jammed on the rollers on top, or you have a bad sensor. Get in there and blow it out with compressed air or if it under warranty send it back.

Oh btw media jam (paper)and output tray(top part where paper comes out) is missing error (sensor is prob bad)

unplog the printer from electrik for 10 minutes and try aggain, if the problem still occure try to update the soft ware using the web side from samsung for this printer, this should solf the problem.

The cardriges are out of toner and need to be renewed or refilled. If you refill them by your self you need new chips for them as well.

There is photo-optic detector, clean two side emitor and receiver.

For you to be able to adjust the color profile you need to use Adobe Photoshop and the icc profiles readily available. Your system has a current working ICC profile and it could be either Adobe RGB, SRGB, and if you are a specialist you can use Adobe RGB (1998). Here are some steps that you can apply to change the color profile.

1. First, make these changes in Photoshop.

2. Now, [Edit] then assign profile, ColourMatch RGB.

3. To print, go [File] [print] the printer profile should be Adobe RGB (1998).

I am not familiar with this particular printer ... it is wireless? Can you attach it to your network wired? My preference is always wire if possible. Faster and more secure.

I suggest you remove the printer from the computer and reinstall it.
