this time you are going to find MANUALLY your vista driver of your printer, go to device manager and update driver using an inserted CD of your printer... and even your going to update your VISTA its not reason...

There is an "opto coupler" in the main drive gear unit (right ride of machine) which controls the drive to the toner/dev units. If this (or part of the drive) is faulty it will give this error.

Printers are only able to use paper that is within their thickness threshhold. Simply put, the stock you are using is too think for your printer. Try getting some thinner paper and see if that works

There is a menu panel . you can use to navigate

too much paper in tray wrong weight of paper selected (thickness) Try loosing the pages first by holding one end and fanning the bundle to open the pages ( stuck together)

Try the magenta drum. Is the drum scraper clean?

Replace the drum. Replace the unit if it is a cheapee.

if you are running the originals thru the adf on top the slit glass under the top cover might have a spec of somthing on it. this is the glass that is only an inch wide next to the big glass under the top.
