How do I find all of my lost music?

Hi Hunter You are using an Apple iPod? so all your music that you purchased from the iTunes store is still on your account in the iTunes store. Use your computer to log into iTunes. Use your Apple ID & Password to look at your account and see your previous purchases. In future always keep a copy of your music on your computer or USB Stick or External Hard Drive or CD or DVD. Disabled passcode restore

Only if you made a backup in iTunes. I think you still can make a backup, if you have iTunes on your PC or MAC If you don't have the iPod "open" i don't think it will. If you have a backup on iTunes, and you did reset the iPod, after you connect it to iTunes it will ask install as existing.

Problem with battery

Have to ask: you "got an iPod" where? If dealer/Apple store, return it. If not, it was sold because the battery is shot. Works on power; but not on battery. See about replacement; but new "legit" device is my suggestion.

Will not leave apple logo

Sometimes a iPod malfunction occurs that results in the Apple logo freezing on the screen of the iPod. When this happens, toggling the Hold switch or resetting the iPod typically resolves the problem. If following the manufacturer's instructions on resetting the device fails to get a response from your iPod, however, you must troubleshoot other potential solutions. In addition, taking the time to find the cause of the problem can help you prevent a recurrence of the issue. Battery Allowing the battery to discharge completely may unlock an iPod stuck on the Apple logo. To drain the battery, leave the iPod with the Apple logo on the screen and place it in a drawer or in another safe place. Do not attempt to use the iPod until the battery drains and the screen goes black. This may take a day or more depending on the current level of battery charge. Once the battery drains, connect the iPod to your computer or to the wall outlet using an AC adapter and charge the battery completely before turning on the device. b> Restore If the iPod remains frozen on the Apple logo after draining and recharging the battery, you may need to restore the device to original factory settings. Unfortunately, this results in the loss of all data and media files stored on the iPod. Restoring the iPod, however, does not delete the files stored in the iTunes library, so you can still get your data back onto the iPod. Follow the specific instructions for your iPod model when restoring the device. Upgrade Software Problems with the version of software installed on your iPod may cause the device to freeze. Upgrading the software may resolve the problem because the updates released by Apple often include both bug fixes and software enhancements. In addition, installing the current release of the iTunes software also may resolve the freezing problem experienced by your iPod. File Corruption Often, a corrupt file can cause your iPod to fail. If you notice that the problem recurs after playing a specific song or video, then delete that file from your iPod. If the problem occurs again after synchronizing with iTunes, delete the file from your iTunes library. Then import the original file into iTunes again or re-download the file. Typically, if a corrupted file is behind the iPod freezing, a reset temporarily restores functionality until the problematic file plays again. b> App Overload Installing apps on your iPod touch can give you more than just fun or informative software. Running too many memory-intensive apps at one time can overwhelm the device and cause your iPod touch to freeze. A single problematic app may have the same effect. Limiting the number of apps running at one time or removing troublesome apps may resolve this problem. b>

I forgot my password on my ipod nano

Hi tomnjerry727

According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one IPod synced with), and open iTunes.
When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
Apple also notes that company "representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your combination. If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the IPod, which will erase all music and data."

My ipod nano screen is white and beeps twice after

Welcome to Fixya

Looks like the software just hanged-up on you. Try to reset the Ipod by following the procedures below.

1st option:
Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for 10 seconds (until the Apple logo appears).
You may need to repeat the reset several times.
If the reset doesn't help, then put the iPod into forced disk mode.

2nd option (Disk Mode):
Plug the iPod into a high-powered USB port, let it sit for 2 hours, then disconnect it. If you have a wall charger, plug in the iPod, then follow these steps while it is still plugged in.
Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears
Immediately switch your figures to press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until "Disk Mode" appears at the top.
For a lot of people, this solves the problem. Connect the iPod to the computer and (assuming it shows up) reset the iPod again to get it out of Disk Mode. If at this point you still have the white screen, restore the iPod using the restore function in iTunes under the Summary tab (this will erase everything on the iPod and put it at factory settings).
Note: Do not disconnect or eject the iPod until the store is totally done. After you think it's done, wait another five minutes.

My ipod nano (4th Generation) will not charge or

It sounds like your cable may be damaged or have a short in it. You should be careful because you could potentially damage your ipod. You can go to this link at the apple store to find information on a replacement. You can also have problems charging or syncing your ipod if the cable is not an original apple product, but is made by a 3rd party manufacturer

I cant get pod to link up to my computer

Make sure you have the most current iTunes version (10.2.0.34). Go to the Apple site and download it or just Google it if need be. Also make sure your iPod is fully charged (use a wall charger, NOT the USB port) or at least half charged before you connect it to the computer; there has been some cases where if the battery is near dead/dying iTunes refuses to recognize it.
