there is a bearing at the back of the drum that gets dry and sometimes the ball part wears down causing the noise you are hearing i would check that first
Don't ever replace a mother board unless you are sure it is bad. They are expensive & may not be the problem. Always check everything else first . Sounds like you may have a bad connection. Check all connectors make sure the are getting a good connection.Hope this helps you

I would check the water pump for partial blockages, as if all the water is not expelled it wont go on higher spin level, try blowing hard into the water outlet pipe to see if the pipe way is clear enough to let all the water out eric
