This means it "needs" to do this in order to find the OTA (over the air) TV channels which have recently changed. Go through the menu system & possibly Tools to find the auto channel scan and let it do that. I don't know why it would ask you to do this unless you also have the TV attached to the Internet, then it would know it needs this new channel scan, but I have four TVs in the house and none of them told me they needed a new scan. I knew this because I keep track of what is going on with OTA TV channels. So, let's assume you've done the scan again, you also say you don't know how to get it back to monitoring your camera. Once the channel scan is done it may be happy and simply find your camera again. If not, your camera probably came with instructions on how to set it up in the first place, find those and find how how to attach it to the TV again.
