Hi there i have a fisher and paykel washing machine that fills but part way it will stop then carry on then later the first and 7th lights will flash it also does it while it spins
That is error code 130
130. (10000010) Phase 1 to 6 - Single Rotor Position
Sensor Error
The Motor Control Module has found an error in the pattern received
from the Rotor Position Sensor. Likely causes of this fault are a bad
connection on the harness between the Rotor Position Sensor and the
Motor Control Module, or a faulty Rotor Position Sensor.
Primary Source: Wiring.
Action: 1. Check for corrosion on the edge connector of
the Rotor Position Sensor and the Motor
Control Module connector.
2. Check the contacts on the rotor positional
sensor end of the hall harness to see if any
have been damaged. (Each set of contacts in
the socket has two wipers. If the distance
between these wipers varies between
different contacts, replace the rotor positional
sensor harness.)
Secondary Source: Rotor Position Sensor.
Action: Check the Rotor Position Sensor with an R.P.S.
tester. Replace if faulty.
Tertiary Source: Motor Control Module.
Action: Replace Motor Control Module.
The display on the machine is just white when the
It simply means the LCD assembly is the only one at fault either due to a connection problem or the display itself. Since the connector and the LCD are integral part of the display module, they cannot be purchased separately and the only viable solution is replacing module completely. Indicate the exact model number of the machine for replacement parts assistance and should you need further help.
Code 130 is displayed and will not run even after
Code 130 indicates Rotor Position Sensor (RPS) fault.
RPS is just underneath the machine. It can be accessed by removing the plastic cover (the outer part
of the motor) by one bolt. Then remove cover to access the windings of the
motor. Undo the four bolts, drop the windings off the machine; you
now have two parts of the motor off and the RPS can be accessed.
Remove it and clean it up.
Reset the machine again by unplugging for 2 mins. If it doesn't work, then it means that the sensor needs to be replaced.
I hope this information helps you.. Good luck! :)

Hi dear. That's related to size error. When you replace the motor control module you need to set the machine wash capacity like:5Kg or 7.5Kg.To do that please follow the steps: Phase 1 to 6 Size Switch Error
The Display size switch setting does not match that stored in the memory.IW machines, Phase 5 and 6
To access Size Setting Mode. Push and hold the Fabric care button and then press the Power button to enter Size Setting mode. Select the correct size on the display by pushing the White button next to the correct size (phase 5) or using the Adjust button to highlight the right size (phase 6). Size setting is then achieved by pressing the Power button. Powering off will set the size into the memory. Check the size is set before starting a cycle.
I hope that helps.Thanks.
My aquasmart fisher and paykel
Sounds like the 'lid lock' has shorted out. They're not completely waterproof and have seen pins completely blown out inside them. Should measure 73 ohms (or very close to it) across the terminals. Hope this helps.

Hi just read your posting. Now the problem seems to be your display module. Are you in Australia,as there is a place where you can send the display module and they can test it and repair it if you choose to.If you are in Australia then which part? Please reply with additional information and I am sure I can help you.Looking forward to your reply.
Fisher and paykel model WL26CW1 what is fault code
Hi, although the fault code 249 does not exist in the repair manual and in all Fisher and Paykel washer series.
But i have come across different people who had the same fault code 249 on this same washer but the code was associated with different problem on the washer. While the code was associated with spinning problems on some, it was associated with draining problem on others while some complained about not working at all.
So you need to get a repair tech around to check the washer out and determine the main problem with it before proceeding to repair.
You just have to ignore the non-existent 249 fault code
Fisher and paykel washing maching top loader
If there is power to the machine and the display panel doesn't show any lights when 'power' is pressed there is a good chance that a fuse has failed in the motor controller module or that the module itself has failed.
Motor modules can fail when another component fails and overloads the module.
Modules should not be replaced without first checking the other electical components in the machine for resistance and/or continuity.
It's probably best to call an experienced tech who is familiar with F&P machines. I'm sorry not to help you fix the problem your self, but you can easily do more damage to the machine by not thoroughly checking and testing the machine. A repairer who is experienced won't replace a component without testing, and you won't have to pay for parts which might fail on installation..
Good luck....Nomess
