Logic says replace the black cartridge...AGAIN!! However, you can put the machine in 'disable cartridge check' mode which is found in the diagnostics menu. This will allow you to remove/interchange cartridges to help identify problem cartridges. Most importantly this will allow you to identify whether you have a black cartridge slot problem which makes it a machine problem or whether you just have a bad cartridge. That is a paper mis-pick error. The pickup and feed rollers need replaced (there are 3 in each tray)
